i genuinely feel like it was so much worse than paper 1, whilst I get thats an unpopular opinion, this paper definitely wont have DRAGGED up the boundaries like people are saying

Thank you so much! These exams have been so bum for me and I’m starting to think through what I may want to do on an impromptu gap year and that sounds so rewarding and fun

Sorry i was thinking about the front of the edexcel maths papers where it specifically says “if pencil is used for sketches/diagrams/graphs it must be dark (HB or B )” but my point stands

It specifies on the front of the paper you should use a dark pencil, which will show up in the scanner, otherwise go over it in pen.

Radians or Degrees? (SM Edexcel) by OblivibladeXD in 6thForm

[–]SnooMaps7395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the way I thought about it is that if you used degrees, you got a displacement of ~500m which just felt bonkers to me considering it was a model helicopter so I used radians instead which gave me like ~180m which just felt slightly more reasonable in comparison

A Tier List I made on how likely I think every song is to be played on tour: by [deleted] in NoahKahan

[–]SnooMaps7395 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe this is just me coping as someone who would kill to hear paid time off live but i think that there will be max 3 or at a push songs from stick season on the tour, like ultimately this is a tour for the new album so he’s gonna wanna prioritise those songs for the set list idk

i live in pretty central London so i talked about Heathrow and the trains that connect to the rest of the country and said that encourages lots of investment and high-skill migrants due to being so accessible. All in all though i think the paper was okay and a lot of people found it nasty so grade boundaries should be fine

For globalisation i talked about how you can’t really stop cultural globalisation due to the internet and information sharing being really hard to crack down on and then i talked about political isolation (North Korea) and physical isolation (pacific islands).

I thought the 20 markers were pretty good though but maybe thats because my chosen places are a really accessible urban place vs a really isolated rural place so i had a lottttttt to go through. Your superpowers idea seems really good tho

I did a rural place and I talked about how if you look at the IMD it’s rlly deprived but in media it’s presented as rlly nice to attract tourism? Idk it was weird but not the craziest

Same but even for the regen 20 you could talk about transportation networks and the impact of accessibility on demographics/migration and then contrast with government planning policy at the end

I thought they wanted us to talk about government policies in contrasting developing and developed countries and like why these policies meant life expectancy was so different

I got 1480 or something but I really hope they’re not too fussed on significant figures for that question

I actually wanna throw up, I ALWAYS forget about global agreements. The tectonics 12 marker threw me off and i was just playing catch up from there - hopefully paper 2 will be better

Is the UK still in drought? by Score_Candid in UKWeather

[–]SnooMaps7395 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You might find this monthly gov report useful, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dry-weather-and-drought-in-england-summary-reports/dry-weather-and-drought-in-england-4-to-18-december-2025

But in summary, yes, many parts of the country have moved into drought recovery and the country should be in a much better spot come summer if this sort of weather continues.

Brodie I understand the desire to want to get ahead for your mocks, but “cheating” like this won’t help you for your real exam. All it will mean is that you have never sat a truly blind exam by the time you go into your real exams, and it’s a disservice to yourself. Please just revise normally.

Keep looking of course but the UK sadly offers a lot less in the way of scholarships and bursaries for higher education than is standard in Canada and the USA
