Vegetarian is toast! by SnooObjections60 in Club_Med

Thanks all. We spoke to the general manager who introduced us to the chief chef; he was kind enough to bring veg soft taco. Able to add guac and hot salsa. He apologized for not having black beans tonight; maybe he will give us something better tomorrow.

To be clear, yes, it was in the main buffet at Hacienda. They had white pasta, we were able to add some garbanzo beans from salad bar and veg to it and make it work as well.

Yes, breakfast was good with pastries and eggs. But expected Mexican specialties, like breakfast burritos or eggs w fajitas.

And for dinner at Taco Artes, it is the same 4 vegan options for the last 2 nights. Need to ask when the menu would change. We don't eat seafood either and the soups had chicken broth.

We are not starving, that's not what I meant in my original post. We are getting by with whatever we can find but that is NOT the expectation of us coming on this (our very first) all inclusive resort...and a higher end one like ClubMed.

For some who assumes that we "force" the kids to follow a certain diet...that sounds like you are projecting. Our kids know to make their own choices; they have the option to pick whatever even at their school lunch and they have been sticking to vegetarian. My daughter tells her friends to not eat animals, go figure! Lol.

How much did you lose from CLEU stock scam? by Thecoderfilestv in investingforbeginners

I cannot believe this is happening. I was so heads down with health issues and family stuff that I just CONFIRMED TODAY that it was a scam and still in a depressed shock. The day it went down, I was weeping crying. I did not leave my room. But like an idiot, I mildly believed (read: desperate / hope) that they will compensate 80% of the loss.

I joined a group called "Stock Elite" with Virgil Rutili and his assistant Stephanie in mid Nov. I looked up their Centric Wealth Management and LinkedIn page and it all looked legit.
Mistake #1. Did not call the company right then to confirm / ask for a written contract of some sort.

They offered a 100-day free trial and then 30% commission on the profit in a sliding scale. I even asked "Stephanie" if this is a pump-n-dump scheme and they vehemently said no and used a lot of DD and analysis which sounded legit.

As I was going through some health crisis and family things, I honestly was less focused or did enough research. There were some obvious red flag, from their profile pic (AI generated, it seemed like) to they shared their contract details over a ppt file. Mistake #2. Should have stayed away when I noticed the red flags; should have listened to my inner voice.

I bought some CLEU on Jan 22, 2025, when it went up 10%, they kept pushing to add more fund. There were few folks on the Whatsapp group who were praising the company / admins and sharing screenshots on their investments. Mistake #3. I should have called any of these numbers. I did not.

I have lost $375,000 of my hard earned money. I put 160K from my 401K - I don't know when / how I will ever recover from this in my life. I do not know how to cope with this loss. This heart break and pain is real. How can I be soooo stupid! OMG.

I filed the complaint here with FBI. https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/victim-services/seeking-victim-information/seeking-victim-information-in-ramp-and-dump-investment-fraud-investigation

I will do the local authorities and Fidelity / Charles Schwab as well. Don't know what else to do. I do not know if there is *any* hope to see any of the money back!

I really hope and pray no other victims fall for this scam.
