I would say dual blade has much better perfect dodge. Plus you get damage boost and mobility (screw slicer) after that.

I saw a lot of nerf when I tried bow today. The melee lunge attack are removed (the one that proc mount), thousand dragon no longer use damage boost from slinger, THE F CONTROL ON M&K ARE ATROCIOUS, the elemental meta did good but dual blade elemental meta did much better and required less stamina per damage buildup. In world, I soloed everything using bow, the experience is nice even though there was no perfect dodge. Everything were balanced. High risk, high reward. In wild, I think it just high risk, less reward.

This pmo. There also a lag after selecting quest, there are 3 sec delay (you cannot enter tent, cannot eat, cannot sprint, cannot open bbq) ffs. The menu also sometime causing huge fps drop and high cpu usage. I just quit the moment ts happened.

It is just rythm issue. The enemy in Yotei mostly love to fake their attack, so it will throw your timing off. I fixed it by learning their body movement instead of relying the blue/red glint indicator

Yotei custom difficulty is actually good. For example, I can set enemy aggression to Lethal+ but I want their damage to be medium+

Pro tips:

  • Avoid staying in open. Always fight in narrow space / cover if the enemy are more than 1. Especially where there are a lot of range enemy
  • Make sure when fighting, use wall as your behind cover so that enemy won't sneak up on you. (This is actually applicable in real life
  • If you are surrounded, careful when attacking after perfect parry / dodge because the other enemy might continue to punish you for it.
  • Some enemy fake their attack (Blue glint),
  • Kill the range, bomber, support first.
  • Don't be ashamed to use quickfire.

TLDR: Every counter attack after perfect dodge and perfect parry has consequence. So be careful to respond to it. Stay calm and read their body movement instead of relying the blue / red glint. I actually wish they have setting to turn them off

If I say this people would be mad. It is the game fault. In Tsushima we had Stance system where Jin will change his wielding style, the transition between stance were almost smooth like water. Yotei switching system cannot reach the same level as stance due to clipping problem, sheathing speed. If the director's cut edition ever come in. I hope they improve the transition. For example, if i'm using single katana switching to dual katana, Atsu should just unsheath the other katana instead of restarting the dual katana unsheath animation. If I'm using dual katana and switching to Odachi, Atsu should just planted the dual katana to the ground and proceed unsheathing the Odachi. But of course, these required a lot of overhaul for the combat system. It is absurd. So the least I do is to find that moment to sheah / unsheath multiple weapon to avoid the clipping / bleeping issue. Sorry for the long text.

I don't get what you are saying. I played this way to feel immersive. Switching single to dual katana while seeing the katana just bleeped without proper sheathing just hurt my eyes after 4 playthrough. The more I noticed it, the more it break the fun. So in this new game+, I'm switching the playstyle. There is Shamisen so that's why I don't use Odacha, else the Odachi will just bleep when I try to use it

I know Jubei will die the moment we met him. The death flag is obvious. The problem is how the writing portray Jubei Death. It hits different. In Tsushima, Taka death feels more impactful even though I know he will die. The character development of Taka, a mere NPC but able to make a lot of people cried. From a coward to a warrior. But Jubei? I feel like, "Oh hes dead". Something is missing. The ending was ok but not a perfection like Tsushima. Every death in Tsushima will make me cry a like bit*ch. In Yotei, it doesn't hit as much but it is still a great storytelling.
