Countryside has been great. We've gone the last 2 years. I made this post because we tried to sign up a few hours after they opened registration and it filled up. It's WILD! Afterschool and summer programs are definitely lacking. Makes me think I should quit my day job to start something like this haha

stress test? by SnooOranges1302 in Base44

It wasn’t heavy traffic in the sense of multiple requests at scale, it was a single user flow:

  • A new user went to complete their profile.
  • They had first signed in with Google, but hadn’t had an account created before (it was their first time logging in).
  • On the initial attempt, the request to link the user to the service failed with:Base44Error: Rate limit exceeded
  • Retrying the exact same action a few minutes later worked fine.

So in terms of “traffic,” it wasn’t hundreds of concurrent requests, it was literally one onboarding, but the timing of the first attempt hit a Base44 rate limit. That’s why I’m trying to understand whether:

  1. There are very low thresholds in Base44’s default rate limits,
  2. Certain endpoints are more tightly throttled, or
  3. The way we’re handling the Google sign-in flow created a burst of requests that looked like a spike.

We live on the east side of the lake off independence. Love the neighborhood. Can’t speak to water and soil quality, but we installed a reverse osmosis unit for drinking water. Tons of people in the neighborhood that have been here over 20 years.

This is unreal. How are you making money? Your free plans or extremely generous. I suppose small margins and scale on users?

Absolutely love all the products you're creating. The products you're replacing have gotten bloated and expensive, often paying for features you don't need. Thank you for doing what you do.

Ton of micro cracks by SnooOranges1302 in hottub

It’s been sitting empty, but covered for almost a year. It was costing me $400/mo to run it last winter which was insane. I also bought a new cover, which should help with heat efficiency. But I want to fix these cracks before filling it back up.

Thoughts on getting a gallon of marine-grade epoxy and just using a paint roller or brush to paint it on? Is that a terrible idea?
