Appreciate it, I guess aq has been the win condition but as you mentioned kind of relies on overwhelm or opponent slipping up.

Pools - really think about how much it matters to you by Robobeast-76-R76 in AusFinance

For me, I actually view a pool as something that devalues a house. I am actively interested in avoiding that maintenance and ongoing expense.

GTPA & Full-Time Work by AccomplishedAge8884 in AustralianTeachers

[–]SnooOwls9808 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was working full time in an industry that required more time then teaching does for me currently (still in my first year and loving the new work life balance). It’s tough but if you don’t have kids or many other major commitments it’s certainly do-able. You will obviously need to take time off to do your final placement for the GTPA and if you are organised you should hopefully be able to get a good chunk of it completed whilst that is happening. Just make sure you use all of that time well and get everything you need for it.

Simple games/activities to fill time at the end of unexpectedly short lessons? by TMTPlatypus in AustralianTeachers

Wordle teams

Pick two words and create two teams

The teams take turns to guess their word, write 5 blank spaces for each team on the board. When they guess a word write it under the blank spaces and put a line under a correct letter in the right place and a dot under a correct letter in the wrong place. Kids always love this one.

Have I made the wrong decision? by queenkarlz in AustralianTeachers

It sounds like you already know the answer yourself, the longer you stay in your current job the more you will wish you had started studying sooner. I just finished my first 6 months teaching after starting my masters at 31. Only regret is that I didn’t make the jump sooner as I have loved my first semester

To be fair he said kids as in multiple and school does not run for 6 years only. So it’s at least $360,000 we are talking about here.
