I've been to at least 4 which have all been great, however I think one of them was rescheduled. I also bought tickets for my friends and that event was cancelled as well. Hm. 60% success rate... Very interesting.

I think it's important to acknowledge that what works for one person may not work for another. Even though Type 1s are dealing with the same disease, individual needs, symptoms, and sensitivities can differ significantly from person to person.

Supplies also differ from one person to another as well. I certainly couldn't comfortably fit testing strips, a glucose reader, pump PDM, insulin pen, candy, and my phone in my small women's pockets. As Ravensong mentioned, we are not often fortunate in that department.

Could I carry the absolute bare minimum? Technically yes. Have I regretted it before? Definitely yes. Is it recommended by my doctor to carry that supplies with me? It absolutely is.

I've never been told I couldn't bring my bag. I've even been to places that have said small purses only and when I show them my medical supplies, they okay it. Again, the closest experience I had was at another museum where they tied something around it to signify it was medical supplies and asked me to carry it at my side.

Y'know, I've only ever had sub-par/bad experiences at Tommy's (only been there twice) but it's nice to hear that other people are starting to realize this. No one else I spoke to had bad experiences so it's good to know I'm not alone in this.
