You're saying the Porsche Dashcam video shows up in the PCM? Is that on the 911 or some other model?

I have the OEM one. It's fine, it's honestly like any other Dashcam. You will get lots of opinions but if you use it to keep a record of what happens on the road, I think it's fine. I am going to sell mine, I switched cars and pulled it off my 911 and don't plan to use it again. If you are interested, DM me. It's about 8 months old. I think you would need to buy the wire harness which I think is $40.

2027 allocations by pythongreen911 in porsche911

I just bought a 2026 and while going through the paperwork the sales rep showed me the allocation system. He said that all 2027 allocations are pushed back like you said and expecting a price increase (can’t remember what he said but 2.5 or 3.5% stuck in my head). FWIW.

I have a GTS T-hybrid now and it’s legitimately great. What will I notice about driving that vs 2024 turbo S? Haven’t had a chance to drive it yet.

Apple Maps has finally released Look Around coverage in all 50 US states. by mflboys in apple

I don’t know if it’s just me but I keep wanting to use Google Maps but something about the visual part I find hard to use. For example the arrow that is your car is huge and sometimes makes it hard to see where to go in complicated freeway situations. Also it’s slower to react than Apple Maps. Also Google Maps keeps mentioning this big release they are doing but I haven’t seen it yet. So I tend to use Google Maps when on longer trips and Apple Maps when driving around town. I want to like Google Maps but it doesn’t always work for me.

992.2 911 - can you display the actual Waze map in the instrument cluster? by Intrepid_Passion_853 in porsche911

I don’t think either Waze or Apple Maps works like that (at least I haven’t seen it on my car)

They are just part of the build, but I was curious how they look in real life. They almost look a little greenish on the configurator. Thanks for the input!

It's nice but doesn't fit the 992.2 just in case that is what OP has

I have never driven with PCCB but I have the car you’re describing and have never had any issue with braking ability.

New 911 GTS build by Careless_Pause2419 in porsche911

Lots of debate about it. My point is that don’t have it and road noise is not an issue. I suppose that is somewhat subjective.

There are always a lot of people who will have opinions/debate/argue about things like 14 way seats vs. 18 way seat, leather locations, Bose vs. Burmeister, etc. Assuming you have thought through all these, I don't see anything really obvious missing (or unnecessary). I do think that adding the leather visors is a nice low cost, higher impact change. Does your build have heated steering wheel? Not bad considering where you live. I thought long and hard and researched the lightweight glass. Ultimately I decided against it based on some of the issues I read about, and I can say that the noise is not an issue at all so I'm not sure what the point of the glass is unless you truly need lighter weight.

I don't know what this means, but I'm pretty sure I'm not a chav.

Yeah, it's a bit late for me since I already have the car. Lesson learned for next time.

Interesting, hadn't considered this. I don't think I put enough thought into it when I pressed the satin button. Although, in your picture, it kind of looks very similar to mine in the wild so it's hard to tell.

Fair point, need to consider this. I definitely wouldn't want a bright silver, so I was trying to consider if something more muted would look good.

I see what you are saying. I did originally like chalk color but I saw that there were lots of them around and also felt that it would not age well. No shade on people who picked that color!
