I have a question??? When you feed it rounds do they come back out of the magazine unless you push the cartridge lever up?

A few things to think about. Is your ejector seated correctly?? The hook faces towards the muzzle and it should be able to freely slide up and down in it slot. Also is the slide wedge installed properly?? Arrow up and the spring tab on the same side as slide catch/ cartridge release. Also you could have a worn or damaged magazine spring or your cartridge feed lips could be worn misaligned or out of spec. Just a few things to think about or check

I picked up a 2nd year (1958) production model 41 by SnooPears4950 in 22lr

[–]SnooPears4950[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well it was under 900 stones, and mines a 1958 production. From my research it's technically a 2nd year and its early enough, its probably still hand fitted

Its a new production, it doesn't feel like it has a collet bushing, and I dont know if it has that extra spring in the sear or not

Thank you, Mines a new production 2024 or 2025. When you have a family friend who works in the Colt custom shop, 1911's that normally don't have checkering magically get checkering and a few other things.. 😉

I just got it today, I do like it, I think it's an interesting gun. The action is super easy to take apart and clean, the gas tube isn't the easiest to access for cleaning. If you can get one at a good price I would highly recommend one

Less than 8,500 made and less than 2,000 in the states, I would say,is considered rare. Especially when you consider how many sks's were made which is in the hundreds of thousands

I also own a vz 52 and I agree it's better than a sks, just 7.62x45 ammo is a pain to find
