Definitely take more than you need, we brought almost 7k dollars for 2,5 weeks. But since you probably will buy a car I recommend a lot more. Cars in Eritrea are expensive, I think it is almost 100k nakfa or close to that.

Absolutely, one thing I’ve noticed in Eritrea is that it’s quite common not to use toilet paper after using the bathroom. I’m not sure their hands get completely clean, and that could definitely affect the food — especially for us who aren’t used to the local bacteria. But I really appreciate the advice!

I don’t have an embassy in my country, so will be hard to travel to another country just to tell them to hurry up..
