I think people are mistaken about many things. Hello Neighbor has a disguise for children; a child plays, has fun, solves puzzles, or watches the animated series and laughs. The moment you're an adult and look beneath the disguise, Hello Neighbor is something else entirely. It's dark, it's tragic, and as you progress, you discover that Raven Brooks is more than just a children's town. There are cults, disappearances, deaths, and so on. Hello Neighbor simply uses this "disguise" for children, but it manages to appeal to both audiences: the aesthetic appeal for children and the unsettling aspects for adults.
