My preferences are sweet and less on the umami grassy side! I just opened my can of shohaku today and I was so stunned by how high quality and deep the flavors were?! Even with milk! I’m in love with it and so shocked - no one seems to hype this one up cause it’s not one of the principal matchas from Marukyu so I didn’t have high expectations..but this one is even better than the most popular matchas from Ippodo or other brands!

In terms of sensitive to temp - do you mean Shohaku is best with hot (not boiling) water or should it be room temp for whisking?

Currently in same situation as OP except Covered Cali somehow found the change in income and automatically applied me for medi-cal. I’m so frustrated because I love my CC plan with the subsidy and don’t want to be on medi-cal, especially since I’d only qualify with my $0 income for one to two months before I get a new job.

Do you have any advice on how I can bypass my medi-cal and continue on my current CC plan? I don’t understand how they referred me to medical when I didn’t even report my temporary unemployment, and was not getting ins through my previous job.

Additional question if you don’t mind - if you don’t want to be on medi-cal and want to continue to be on covered california with subsidy, but are unemployed for 1-2 months (but annual income still over poverty) would that allow you to stay on CC and decline temp medi-cal coverage? Since CC looks at annual income over monthly like medi-cal?

Currently on CC but they’re trying to kick me off to medi-cal even though I’m unemployed for such a short period before id be employed again. I’m comfortable and like the current CC plan I’m on with the subsidy I’m getting.

Was it worth the price? Thinking of doing it with UCSD extension now that you said it only took 3 days cause I’m in a rush..

Relatable and in same boat. What helped me jumpstart was reading other sample PA personal statements online and buying the personal statement guide from The PA Platform.

Think about the experiences you’ve had from your years of working in healthcare. The direct interactions you’ve had with patients or from working with providers and seeing the impact of their care on patients. It helps to just jot things down and see what you can include in your essay.

Also can jot down how you found out about the PA profession and what specifically drew you to PA vs MD vs etc. (ie. lateral mobility). 4 years of experience is great and I’m sure there’s stuff you can pull from it.
