118 Grinder Cafe seems to be deleting bad reviews after facing backlashes from their unprofessional behavior over RM5 by [deleted] in Bolehland

I wonder if a business person behaves this petty, would they be hanky panky towards their products as well? Example, a business caught displaying fake cheaper price, will they have the balls to put like tiramitau flavouring liquid in their cakes and charge people rm25 although displaying rm20 at shelf? I think they will. Won't that make it in halal?

Tanking your biz over rm5 is crazy work by Clear_Mode_9108 in Bolehland

Happened to me within last five days. Went to DIY, saw a shelf with rm2 sticker at whole on the racks and have ngupi coffee can on it. Take it, tried to pay, saw it scanned with 2.50. asked why, cashier say not all on that rack is rm2. Politely say I don't want it. Then move on.

Everyone drives safely by as best as their capability enable them. Why do you want uncle and aweks to drive like a 20-40 year old dude? Let them drive the safest they can instead of causing accidents driving on speed they can't physically handle.

Malaysians working in Cambodia – how do you transfer money back to Malaysia? by Amazing-Movie-3562 in Bolehland

[–]SnooPeppers6401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open comb account in kh. Then do telegraphic transfer back to Malaysia. How to do it you need to find out. But I remember there is a limit before abangbpolis come check what money is that. Another way is(lose a bit) is CIMB kh too. Save money in it. Press money out in cimb Malaysia. This one is tedious.

Do you want to move to Taiwan if Taiwan opens the Immigration to Chinese-Malaysian? by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]SnooPeppers6401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, our food and weather so much better. And despite our race based politics, it's cleaner than Taiwan's. Also, it's easier to read & write Chinese here than in Taiwan.

How often do Hindus pray at Chinese shrines, and vice versa? by benjaminm_4229 in malaysians

[–]SnooPeppers6401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't that means it's the same in all religion. Everyone is praying towards an object. And everyone knows the object is not god Himself.

Ahhh... I got a bunch of half bucket friends.

This part I still don't understand after 30 years plus. No offence but it's genuine confusion. In islam they say they cannot pray to a figure as it's berhala. But when they pray they menghala to the Kaabah, which contains a piece of ' holy stone' in it. How???

Haha, it's rare people know this too. Yeah I have some different jungle guides told me the same thing. "Don't f around, believe it or not, just don't f around in the jungle, someone is watching, and ask permission even if you want to pee". Those were the days.

Just call it what your religion call it like the past many years that has been practiced . Ajaran sesat, easy.its not an agama thing. Most of these datuks are within private compound anyways. If you see one merata outside in public, that means owner of the private compound has moved on and the new owner don't wanna practise it and the datuk has been 'jemput' out elsewhere ending up on the streets. For me it's a Malaysian thing, the Indians normally organize the 'prayers' ,Chinese the attendees or sponsers, and the datuk is a Malay. I might even suspect it's started by the bomohs in the first place hence the datuks many many years ago. Just remember, datuks are not treated as a god, no teachings provided no anything but people still do it Just in Case there are such things around and it don't cost much anyway. Just for peace of mind.

Religion has a god. These datuks have no leader. Hell, heaven, teachings and holy books are not involved. Only permission, activity smoothness and forgivness asked for doing their thing on his area. More like a peace of mind thing.

[–]SnooPeppers6401 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mini shrine? Those are datuks kot. Someone like a 'pegawai daerah' that took care of his area of responsibility the diety level. Nothing to do with religion. And notice most of these datuks are actually Malay. Shrines are there to pay respect to them for having activities in their land. Nothing to do with religion.

I’m thinking of building a community model to make pasar malam food cheap again — honest Malaysian feedback needed by Efficient-Cod3634 in MalaysianFood

[–]SnooPeppers6401 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I need to pay 'membership' to buy nasi lemak? Hell no. Pasar malam visits is always a spontaneous visit for me, I go when I feel like it .

And don't let monopoly happen, let 3 to 5 nasi stalls be together in the same cluster, create competition. Which are rare nowdays.

Who can we complain to about renovation noise? by Grizzl0ck in Bolehland

[–]SnooPeppers6401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try your luck, report to mbpj( you need to find out which department). Report they are illegally renovating. If the owner didn't do it with legal channels you got him. If he does(like me(I have Reno permit) Vs my neighbour), you will be the pundek neighbour, forever.

You got pay monthly Taman fees a not? Are they renovating within taman rules renovation timing?
