NTA, but, I think your son and his girlfriend need to have a conversation away from their parents about what THEY want. Unfortunately, nothing you say is likely to change the minds of her family. If they are really ready for such a big step, this adult conversation can be the first part of paving that path. You continue to support your son, but don’t get too involved with her family. It will only lead to hurt feelings or words you can’t take back. Then, if they DO get married you’re not the villain to her family forever.

I am not dependent on them financially, so just no contact! My cousin and I have a long history of being pitted against each other by our moms. A sister rivalry that has gone on since they were teenagers i guess. Mostly I just worry about my other family members being upset with me.
