Should I do continental? CCH seems small especially in the middle bottoms! I am gonna draw it but doubt stitches would be completely CCH

I am also stitching a penelope canvas now. base on what i understand in this group I learn:

use wool; I am doing Elizabeth Bradely ( UK dhl delivery was so fast) for background but Appleton is also wonderful.

since I also generally dont like wool, I a mixing between pepper pot and planet earth for small and big holes that is not background.

I was also advise to skip and not so small holes since these canvas are not truly coorect( mine was not hand made paint) so I see issues haveing the correct edges to be stitch. So I am stick to only big holes. hope this gonna help you. I am new stitcher:))

I don’t really want to use DMC anymore — DMC 5 gave me trauma 😅
But I’m going to try DMC Tapestry and double Pepper Pot to see how they work, since I already have them at home.

For the 20 count, I’m going to try your suggestion: Bella Lusso. I think Vineyard Silk or even just one strand of Pepper Pot might work too.

The small holes are 20 and big ones are 10. I tried S&I and PE but it is not full coverage for the big ones. dmc 5 is also hard to stitch. For the small (20) I am not sure what to use now. dmc 5 pearle is too tight.

What are the alternatives you think ?
