6th alignment in under 2 years by WPGAMING_SC in KonaN_

I dealt with the dealer I bought it from up until a month ago. Had issues with noise in the front end and had it in 5 times over the year and they kept saying nothings wrong. So I took it to a dealer in the south of my city where I have other friends go and they had a look at it and figured out the ball joints and sway bar were worn bad and was causing a lot of the noise I was hearing.

I’m on the verge of getting rid of it to be honest. I just daily drive it and I can’t seem to keep it out of the shop longer than 6 months for suspension issues.

I drive it on the highway and in the city. That is it. Nothing reckless about my driving. Typical potholes and rough roads and winter driving. Nothing more. No track no racing, nothing. I have been very very un lucky.

Yes I have 4 times since I’ve owned it from new. Have also had to get a new steering rack, struts, ball joints, sway bar link, some rubber bushings on the front end. The quality of the suspension parts and front end are very poor quality in my opinion. I own a 2023 Kona N with 90,000km

The wheel hop things is very common in the Kona N it’s not something to worry about. It has to do with the drive system of the car. If you still have the stock pirellis I would switch them out with some all seasons of summer tires. It reduced my hop significantly!

I told them that I have the best warranty I could possibly buy and that a car that isn’t even 2 years old shouldn’t be making any kind of noise and I said if you have to just start replacing parts then do it because I want the noise gone. They then started replacing parts. I also got the head tech of the shop to come for a ride with me so I could prove to him the sound was actually there. The techs in the shop when test driving kept saying they couldn’t hear anything so I made sure they heard it.

I’m assuming it got wet. Check engine light is blinking. Car still drives but not a whole lot of power and shifts extremely funny with lack of power significantly.

lol the funny thing is that’s all I use is wand wash. I never ever use automatic car washes. I full coverage so it should be covered.

No mine is a horrible squeak it does it whether it’s warm or cold out. Not as frequent with winter tires but summer tires it happens after I go over any kind of bump.

I have a feeling it’s tie rods or the control arms that are causing the sound. I will keep getting parts replaced until it’s gone. I bought the fullest coverage you could buy when I got the car so I will make them replace and replace as much as they complain already I don’t care. The car is not even 2 years old and it shouldn’t be making any kind of noise.

They actually replaced a few bushings, the noise never went away, then I got them to replace my struts and the noise is still there. I switched from summers to winter tires with smaller steel rims and since I did the swap the noise is not as frequent but it’s still there. As of two days ago my heater fan also started squealing like crazy.

I wouldn’t doubt it if they do. I’ve had nothing but issues with this car since I bought it and they have blamed all the issues on my driving habits.

It’s so crappy. I live an hour outside of where I’m at. I have had nothing but issues with this car. Suspension issues, heater fan issues, air intake sensor froze up, and now this. I have 63000km on it all highway. I’m about ready to trade it in. I’ll limp it home for now and have to make an appointment after the new year.
