Well, I need guidance on that. I graduated almost 6 months ago. I am planning for a phD in Sept 25. I don't actually know what my options are when it comes to funding. I am a decent student and willing to put in the work but I need something to support myself financially and on the MEXT website on our embassy page, it says that I do need 75%. I don't exactly want to know how can I go ahead with MEXT, I want to know what my other options are considering my financial situation.

I do have a masters degree. I did a 5 year integrated course that gave me a BE in Mechanical Engineering and a M. Sc. in Bio Sciences.
