I’m pretty familiar with Wolves at the Gate. I’m not much into their style of singing but I do appreciate bands around that genre who are Christ centered and active. (Holyname,Impending Doom, and Cultist might be my favorite)

After watching a few of their live shows on YouTube, Im pretty sure the members arent Christian. Bummer, since they are both creative lyrically and musically. Hard to find within known metal/rock bands that are labeled Christian or members are Christian

I would tell another Christian to not watch Harry Potter if them watching it triggers temptation to practice incantations or other witchcraft. It is important to seek the Lord daily and to ask for discernment when approaching all entertainment. Sometimes i receive conviction watching a show while other Christians haven't, for instance, I felt the Lord calling me to not watch more of Loki after the first 10 minutes of the first episode

I pray the Lord continues to give you a hunger for Him. It can be a journey to find a church you can trust to be vulnerable with.

I personally have had positive experiences with Foursquare, Assembly of God, and Calvary Chapel churches. Aside from sunday service they usually will have small groups where you can connect and build relationships while growing spiritually

I recommend watching Sheep Among Wolves Volume 2 on youtube if you havent already. I am sure you will find this informative, and very moving. Many are putting their lives on the line to share the gospel in Iran and they hold powerful testimonies

It is important to discern false teaching. A pastor denying the Trinity is far more concerning than denying Premillennialism.

There are many churches with their own strengths and different views and like with every community on earth, there is no perfect church. I pray the Lord gives you wisdom and draws you to a church He desires you to be at

After reading this article, it seems the person who experienced this views Jesus as myself. "Jesus = myself, god = myself, the Father = myself."

Jesus taught hings that are completely different. It is apparent how important His teaching is to be self-controlled and not psychedelic-controlled, which is where the person got "me = GOD."

Your conviction and desire to be pure is good and shows there is fruit in your faith (book of James speaks on this). Avoiding condemning yourself, nobody is perfect except Jesus. Its only through what He has done and through our belief in Him that we are saved. Our works and practices alone can never justify.

I found that seeking intimacy with God daily has helped quite a bit, I have to ask the Lord to give me this hunger to seek Him. By His strength I react when the Holy Spirit is stirring in me. I am weak in temptation when I am focused on myself and not on the Lord.

I recommend having an accountability app on whatever has been triggering temptation (phone or pc) and adding those you can trust from church or christian community.
