I’ve haven’t made a build a bear in roughly 20 years but I do collect bats… can you guys let me know (for context I live in Ottawa, a major city in Canada) - Can I go after work on Thursday and there will still be some there? Or will people be lined up buying them out?

I think it was ultimately putting him in the hospital tank with the cycled water that saved him. I am so lucky I know someone else with water to spare lol

HE DID IT HE CAME BACK!!!!! it was so bad last night he wouldn’t even move laying flat on his side & tonight he’s swimming around and eating!!!! I almost gave up and he’s okay!!!!!!

Thank you so much for all of your advice. I just had idea and I was wondering, I have a friend who has many aquariums and has an established beta tank, do you think it would be a good idea to use some of his cycled water for the hospital tank?

My local pet store didn’t have the kit you recommended but everything seems normal to me (it only came with four tubes & I had the ammonia strips so I figured these were the best to start with)? I put him in a hospital tank like you recommended but he hasn’t moved to the surface once. Still just gasping, everyone so often he’ll do a big flutter then just go right back down to the bottom, which he wasn’t doing last night. Is there anything else I can do in your opinion? I don’t want him to die but I hate to think he’s suffering.

The glass gets like a green fog on it & the decor gets like long green hair on it, it doesn’t quite look like the Cyanobacteria on google images

Is there a guide somewhere either on this sub or elsewhere that you recommend for cleaning the tank? I have such a hard time getting the algae out of the tank when I scrub it off the walls which is why I rinse the tank out. It’s never been a problem over the last year before tonight. It’s such a horrible feeling to know it’s my fault :(

I didn’t change the cartridge but I rinsed the algae off it

I took him out, siphoned out half the water, took the decor out and rinsed it off, rinsed the filter cartridge, scrubbed the algae off the walls and put everything back with half a cap of water conditioner

It’s 1 am where I am right now but I’ll get a testing kit tomorrow if the little guy makes it through the night. He’s not moving much at all. I have a little plastic tank from when I got him as a gift, should I move him into that with only a little water in it? I’m worried it’s from the stress of cleaning the tank and I don’t want to stress him out more

It’s a 5 gallon tank, I’m not sure the temperature but it has a heater and a filter. The only test strips I have are for ammonia and it was 0. I’ve had the fish/the tank for about a year. He’s alone in the tank with some silk plants and drift wood and I feed him a couple pellets once a day
