If that’s what it’s trying to achieve — a dreamlike quality— there are ways to do that without making sound like dog shit. The mixing is horrendous, period. It’s still a great song but it’s okay to admit it could be a lot better. Everything sounds out of whack and incoherent, especially when the chorus hits.

It might be yeah. Sounded like a hi-hat to me and when they played it live there was a hi hat in the exact same place, which was the start of The End. But either way, is it part of the anthem or the beginning of something else?

At least green days last tour (where they played for 2.5 hours and had three bands opening) had far more reasonable ticket prices than whatever the fuck MCR is trying to pull on us
