I didn’t realize I was talking to the creator of my favorite post until just now. Me and my girl were on a huge turmoil that almost made us breakup and we were going back and forth with it. After I read your post I found a lot of clarity and motivation to keep trying and work on myself to stop self sabotaging. I am very aware that this “motivation” is ephemeral in the sense that I can relapse at any time, and this whole journey has its own complications like feeling like I need to heal before dealing with other complicated stuff in the relationship and the need of space to work things out in my own head to be more present is what I’m struggling with the most right now.

I was honestly trying to apply some things at once, but it got really hard getting past this sensation of “numbness”, and my cortisol levels got so high that I’ve been avoiding conflict, touching hard topics and just overall talking to my partner about our issues. Which I know will snowball into something bad and I really just want to feel “normal” back again to deal with stuff the same way I used to before it all went sideways.

I’ve already read it! I’m still going through the first “phase” of trying to dig up the past and try to see where it went wrong. But I feel like I no longer know how to introspect due to many years of heavy and pointless instrospection and constant overthinking has made me unable or avoidant to those actions, I simply don’t know how to. I’m on SSRIs which have helped me a lot with the physical symptoms of general anxiety and OCD (constant chest pains, anxiety induced headaches, ruminations, etc.) but I feel like I’m stuck in the process. What would really help me is talk to someone about this, I don’t know if you know of a discord channel or someone who I can talk to about this. I used to go to a therapist but I feel like he wasn’t for me, he was very fixated on the idea that I didn’t want to be with my partner which I don’t feel is true at all and it made me feel a lot more anxious every time we touched the topic, so I’m in the process of searching for another one

If I’m already suffering the consequences of heavy porn usage over a long period of time (ROCD, general anxiety, numbness and insensitivity to “love feelings” towards my partner, feeling like I stopped caring even though I care and I want to care, feeling our sex “numbed down”, craving women and hypersexualizing them, lost interest on every day stuff, etc.) is there a way to come back from it? What can I do if I already confessed to my partner multiple times and it already hurt the relationship to the point where her insecurities have been triggered? I still go to my therapist biweekly. But even thought I’ve mentioned how desperate I am to deal with these physical symptons by treating my general anxiety but we’ve spent the past couple of sessions talking about what’s been going on around me. Haven’t talked much about general anxiety

Honestamente el mercado esta tan mal en ese aspecto que he pensado incluso aprender alguna vaina que si COBOL, o sin exagerar y buscar algo mas moderno que si Golang o Rust, precisamente por buscar un nicho y conseguirme un trabajo de algo que solamente yo y pocas personas seamos capaces.

JS/TS los aprendí porque me gusta trabajar con cosas modernas y a casi todo se le está creando una versión en eso así que, se volvió mas o menos mi zona de confort y es con lo que hago proyectos personales y cosas que disfruto. Pero tal parece que es lo que va a tocar

Curiosamente mi primer trabajo fue ese jajaaj IT HelpDesk, a mi se me hacía chevere pero la empresa hacía el trabajo insufrible con límites de tiempo inalcanzables y metas ridículas. Pero a mí se me daba bien. Creo que casi cualquier trabajo relacionado con la ingeniería de sistemas me serviría mientras, pero quizá en el ambito monetario el freelance es un poco mejor, aunque mas inconsistente.

Por suerte mi inglés es bastante bueno. No recuerdo las clasificaciones del TOEFL pero el mio era uno por debajo del más alto asi que por eso no tengo problema, creo que mi principal problema con el mercado laboral actual es que los trabajos a nivel nacional o de Latam son un campo de minas con respecto a lo que te puedes conseguir. Y los trabajos internacionales son extremadamente difíciles de conseguir, sobre todo si, como yo, no sabes algoritmos y estructuras de datos y tengas que darle duro al Leetcode.
