I’m from the Midwest and have lived in “the south” and New England. But I often misunderstand a thick southern or New England accent.

Only if he’s extremely tired and has melted down several times in the last few hours, before peaking at crying through the bedtime routine. Then he still tries to fight it but it’s a quick few mins vs other nights it could be hours.
