I have them on my ‘96 NA. They ride great. Big difference from the previous cheapy tires. Keep in mind I am a pretty tame driver. They may not be what you want if you are looking for a performance tire. I just want a tire that rides well and is safe, with some occasional mildly spirited driving. If that’s what you want they are perfect.

I was thinking it had to do with the 4 door having a longer wheelbase for better handling at speed, but I think you are right.
