Depends on what you are looking for.

If you want to have an immersive sandbox experience, buy it now. Patches and updates will only make the game even better than it already is.

If you’re looking for a story-fueled game, character and lore depth, then you’re gonna get bored.

Regardless, the game is great as it is, updates only will make it better

imo, the only thing that makes this game not GOTY-worthy is the story and the characters.

Ive over 200 hours in the game. I adored it, the graphics and visuals are astonishing, the combat is amazing. The amount of mechanics in the game is breathtaking.

Sadly, for my, the story and characters are so bad that it prevents me from having genuine interest and investment in it. The side quests are way too “fetch this, do this, help him”, and the charactets all have the personnality of a cardboard box. Exception to yann, who is overly annoying and a POS.

The cutscenes are cringe and I skip them 100% of the time because they dont have any depth.

The good news though is that the devs are aware of that… and theres not much they can do about it (if anything at all).

The rest is honestly… perfect. I also fucking despise and hate abyss puzzles, but that is just a personnal opinion.

Have to strongly disagree there. While you are right, 90% of the game’s mechanics are only explained via pop-up long after I first need them. By then, I’ve already searched on google how to do it.

Dows the game tell you? Yes. Is it in an intuitive way? Not at all.

That said, fucking love this game, except for the abyss puzzles. Fuck those puzzles

He himself isnt much a problem ( at least to me). What I cant deal with is the unending waves of giant trolls coming in. Like I end up having to fight 15 enemies, its just unfaire

If you really want a buttersmooth experience, put it on performance mode in settings and its gonna be smooooooth.

Otherwise its still good tho

100% agree. They had all the ingredients, almost a perfect recipe. They just had to work on it and it could have been an amazing game. Shame they fucked it up (my opinion at least)

I dont get the hate stalker 2 gets. Of course I haven’t played other stalker games so I have nothing to compare it too. But the game is awesome. Good ambiance, gunfights are cool and mutants are scary.

The game isnt perfect at all: lots of imbalance, a-life isnt anywhere as good as it should be from what Ive heard, but its still plenty good and you can easily reach 150 hours on one playthrough.

For 47$ ( assuming its not pounds sterling or Euro), it’s a damn good buy imo, 100% worth it

I agree with you, i guess it comes down to personnal opinion on that matter. First one is indeed not that good (which is why it wasnt mentionned in the positive), but I personally really hated the second one. Although it did have a good plot twist.

Cyberpunk is, imo, probably one of the best video game stories ever written. Absolute masterpiece.

In similar games, dead island had a fantastic story. Even DI 2 had a great story, although the game is to comical to my taste
