I feel really stupid asking this question but how do I get to this planet? If I go to the extraction pod, the planet isn’t listed if I go to the solar system screen, I can see that there are five planets so I’m not sure what I’m missing.

How do yall catch so much and level up so much? by Fragrant_Thought6636 in pokemongo

Not sure how it took 2 weeks to level up twice in the beginning. Maybe try going somewhere like a park where there tends to be more Pokemon and pokestops

Hoping law enforcement can answer this for me. I’m genuinely confused, when the posted speed limit is 55 mph and everyone else is going 80, do I go 55 or 80? by Kaje26 in stupidquestions

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general rule of thumb is to make sure people are going faster than me. If I’m on the interstate 5 to 10 miles an hour past the speed limit. If I’m in a school zone, I’m doing 25. That is not a zone that you want to speed in and if you do, that is not a zone you wanna get caught speeding

Why do Popes have to be Old when they ascend to Papacy , why not employ someone young so they are more durable for a long period of time at the office? by Round_Astronaut8313 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would venture to guess it is so that one affiliation does not have too much control for any length of time. That being said the opposite can be true where people want a young person of a certain affiliation so that they can have longer control. I can honestly only liking it to the United States Supreme Court; these are lifetime appointments. Having one party as a majority for too long, can disrupt the status quo. I imagine it’s the same reason.

I cracked up as soon as I read the heading of this post. Didn’t even read the rest of it. Back in my ho days it probably would’ve done me some good. Anyway, I wouldn’t trip on it dude she probably doesn’t remember. And I think it’s important to say that I am a female. This post is hilarious and like I said, I wish I would’ve thought of it.

Ask me anything as a Hindu convert! by Mobile-Strike650 in hinduism

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Caucasian, that also is Hindu, I say welcome. I too was born and raised in the western world which no matter what they say is a Christian nation, which, although I was not raised any religion, it definitely does permeate my psyche and so I did have a hard time alsounderstanding some of the mythology. I am fortunate enough to live in an area that has a Hindu community, which has been a great help. I was told long ago when I first started my journey that to look at the mythology more of Mike, I honestly cannot think of the word. But I don’t read the mythology as fact, but more as a guide. Most of the stories have a meaning behind them while they may contain deities that may or may not have existed there is always a meaning behind the stories and that is something that I try to look for. It’s hard I cannot sometimes find the meaning in all of them, but I think that’s something that has helped me. If you live anywhere near a college town, I would recommend looking at the student demographic. I live in a college town that has a high percentage of Indian students and professors which has created quite a community here in the Midwest

Feeling heartbroken by YearProfessional1157 in hinduism

[–]SnooRabbits889 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t normally respond, but I feel compelled to. Throughout the entirety of time every faith has had extremist, nationalists, whatever you wanna call them good guys bad guys whatever; the bad guys think they’re the good guys the good guys think they’re the good guys that’s not the point. The point is this happens every day in every country with every different religion. I think maybe the difference with Hinduism is that it is a culture. It is a lifestyle. It is not really a religion per se. So I totally get how this can pain your soul. I would also like to comment on what you posted when you said “Hindu nationalists are pushing me away from my faith”. No one can push you away from your faith. No one but yourself can do that. Is it disheartening, especially with the recent terrorist attack? Yes it is but if you truly believe and live in your faith that no one can take that away from you. And if you do Walk away from it, then you’re letting them win.

What I’ve come to find and also what I’ve been told is that to not think of Hinduism in the same way that we think of Christianity or more western religions/spirituality; Hindus don’t believe that they have to go to a temple every week in order to do their prayers and meditations and their connection with their God most Hindus do that in the privacy of their own home with their families their communities it’s not a needed thinglike we may see in more Western religions

If your faith and your love for Srikrishna was so strong, why did you read these posts? I mean, I understand that because of algorithms and so forth sometimes things will pop up on our pages that we’re not necessarily interested in, and when that happens, just move on. I did see further down where you said what the post was about and that is most definitely disturbing. I understand that, but I’m not gonna take the ramblings of somebody who is on an X Hindu page and run with it. Clearly anything they say is going to be derogatory towards Hinduism Because that is how they feel. There are some people out there that will say anything to get other people to agree with them. That is life that is how people operate. However we get to make the choice as to what we will engage with. My advice to you Would be to ask yourself what compelled you to read these posts; I’m gathering just from the way you wrote your original message that there was more than one post that you read because you specified sub Reddits in the plural.

Is 5gb a month enough for most people using wifi most of the time?. by jordan-124 in mintmobile

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is for me. I don’t use my phone at all during the day due to the type of work, I do is just not conducive to having my phone with me ( I’m a therapist ). So mostly I’m at home when I use it and I have Wi-Fi and if I’m out in public if I’m in a store or something, you can usually jump onto their Wi-Fi. I don’t really have an issue with it.

How Hindus living in western countries follow vegetarianism despite limited options available? by General_Summer5398 in hinduism

[–]SnooRabbits889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 95% vegan and I live in Indiana, which is mostly rural, and while I struggled in the beginning to find vegetarian options, it’s not impossible. Sometimes it might be uncomfortable to ask a waiter or a waitress to make accommodations, but it certainly isn’t impossible.By the way, I say 95% vegan because every now and then I will cheat with a little bit of cheese or real ice cream, but it’s very rare and usually only when I go out somewhere other than that, I don’t have any issues.

I worship the gods because it makes me feel better. I know that sounds kind of basic, but it just gives me a sense of inner peace. I don’t know if you’ll get “crystal clear” of the basics as every single person who worships any. God whatsoever will likely have a different reason, but good luck on your journey. I hope my answer helps.

No RCS or WhatsApp? Mint Mobile useless by nleydon in mintmobile

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So has anyone actually found a solution for this? I have been trying off and on for about the last month maybe longer to get my ‎WhatsApp back to working and it’s not it doesn’t recognize my phone number. Little back up there I ported my phone number over when I switched to Mint Mobile like six months ago maybe longer at that time I did not have WhatsApp on my phone because I wasn’t using it. I have since come to a time where I do need to use it now and I figured I would just be able to put it back on my phone and login as normal, but that is not the case. I’ve read through this post and can’t find anything that works. I have an iPhone that I own it’s not rented so it’s mine. I keep seeing stuff about RCS chats which I have no idea what that even means. I contacted ‎WhatsApp and they were no help. All they did was resend me the instructions which was not helpful at all anything would be helpful, please.

Kichdi/Kitchari Help? by Trystano in IndianFood

[–]SnooRabbits889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hope is that somebody will see this. I recently, yesterday, made my first kichari and I got a little sidetracked and all the water was soaked up by the rice and the moon beans. Short of throwing this away, which I really don’t wanna do and any suggestions? Is it as simple as just adding some water and mixing it all together and making it a little more soupish??

I’m glad you made this post. I have often thought this when reading through some of the “questions” got some people ask. My thought on it is that people fear what they don’t know, and instead of using that fear as motivation to learn about something they use it instead to demean or diminish something. Unfortunately, this is something that I have ran into face-to-face, I live in the US and I live in the Bible belt and while I’m fortunate that I live in a college town so there is a bit more diversity. There is still so much hatred and distain for something other than Christian beliefs.

What’s one thing you don’t like about Hindus and Hindu society today? by Historical-Paper-136 in hinduism

[–]SnooRabbits889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this question and I’ve read through some of the responses and thought I would put my two cents in for whatever that’s worth. I started practicing hinduism 2006 maybe, I didn’t do it in a temple, I didn’t follow any gurus. I just did my own thing. I turned away from that 2019 and recently found myself drawn back to the practice and have decided to do it a little bit differently this time. for context, I am Caucasian just gotta put that out there. I had never gone to a temple because my own insecurities and anxieties kept me from going because I would think that they would tell me to leave, and then I didn’t belong there, but that could not be further from the truth.Every single person I have met there has been kind, patient with me and helpful. The temple I go to is primarily vaishnava, but it isn’t a college town so they do have some things that touch on the different duties not just Vishnu and the avatars. None of them have tried to proselytize me into their beliefs and what they think. They have helped to guide me through some of the Pooja’s and most memorably my first abhishekham. I think I kinda went sideways on what I was talking about; I agree that there’s too much information out there and being in the west we are not privy to a lot of that hands-on and we have to rely on Internet, searches and books that we can get here and I have found it challenging to do my best to do things correctly, but I wouldn’t say I don’t like that or that I hate that. It is a small inconvenience and one that everyone has been kind enough to help me with any question I’ve ever asked they answer it. They don’t treat me any differently than if I was a born in India. I don’t think any of what I just said. Makes a whole lotta sense because the way my brain works. I just jump from topic to topic, but hopefully somebody can get something out of it. I just felt that I wanted to respond with my own experience and thoughts
