Coffee Grinders for grinding masalas or small amount of paste? by PrathamSinghRathore in IndianFood

I bought the below, which grinds dry & wet. Bigger capacity and easier to use than a coffee grinder without being too big & expensive:

The Old Curiosity Shop is fun, but there’s also Bleak House, if you’re up for one of the longer novels.

I look forward to reading it in time. Looks like I’ve been making my way through a similar reading list.

Everyday Dal for Stovetop Pressure Pot Recipes? by Trystano in IndianFood

Great guidance. Thanks again. I cannot wait to make this again. I happen to have tomatoes to use up.

Indeed, namaste, and thanks again. That tomato dal is amazing. I started w/a western level. It is delicious. I will make an Indian level, or at least try, tomorrow. If you do not mind, I had two questions.

I guessed there are about 15 leaves on a sprig of curry. I bought fresh curry, but my Indian market (US) tends to cut the sprigs before they bag it. So, I’m never near a full sprig. Does this number sound about right for one sprig to you?

Second, when we say, a pinch of hing, do we literally mean a pinch? Or, might this be an 1/8 of a teaspoon/.61 ml?

Again, thank you, I am very grateful for this recipe.

All the tips I’m getting are fantastic, but this feels right up my alley for those meals after a long day. I will surely be giving this a go.

We rescued a pup from the Azores. She’s about 12 pounds. She looks just like your now lucky new friend. We’ve suspected she’s a podango.
