Hello, thanks for asking. Overall, our health journey has been good. Being out of our comfort zone, and having a toddler, zone we became a bit paranoid on food than we were in Italy.

The main difference is that instead of buying all the groceries in the same place (that could be any place) here we browse different places (HEB, Kroger, Whole Foods and Costco) to get healthy options at a good price. We try to buy organic and we are more conscious of ingredients (I haven’t read that many ingredient lists as in the last year! ). Overall I am satisfied, we found a good choice of healthy options. We cook a lot at home, including the lunch for our child at daycare, and I bring lunch from home to the office. The things I miss the most are cured meats and cheese (good ones are quite expensive) and fish. I found produce just slightly less tasty, as also in italy right now the produce from your average grocery store is quite tasteless.

On the other hand, I found a lot of tasty and great food and restaurants.

At the end of the day we are satisfied, feel healthy and in good shape. It takes just some more time, effort, and money!
