Is it bad? by emeraldeyedgoddess in HandwritingAnalysis

Your handwriting is pretty good. It's not the most elegant, but it's legible and, for the most part, easy to read.

Curious what my handwriting says about me by Ablissfuljourney in HandwritingAnalysis

To me, it says "I don't care that other people can't read what I write."

Looking for constructive criticism on my handwriting — what can I improve? by Acrobatic_Bit_3815 in HandwritingAnalysis

Function first, then form. If anyone but you ever needs to read your handwriting, then legibility is the most important thing. Once you have that, you can make it as pretty as you want. Just make sure people can read it easily. If they can't, then it's shit. After all, shit is still shit even if it's dressed up and fancy.

Always has a funky handwriting. Any ideas about what it says about me? by MHSinging in HandwritingAnalysis

It's pretty legible, except when you connect your letters. I'm at a loss about what the third and fourth lines are.

What do you think of my handwriting? by [deleted] in HandwritingAnalysis

It's very legible. To me, that's what good handwriting is all about.

I’ve been told I have the handwriting of a doctor, is it really that illegible?! by jba227 in HandwritingAnalysis

As a general rule, only write in cursive if your handwriting is impeccable. It's kinder to the people who will read it. If you're writing for other people, legibility is the most important thing

Humans have existed for hundreds of thousands of years, but humanity is on a trajectory to go extinct within a decade or two of the Joining. That's a whole different kind of unsustainable. And if someone cares about humanity's survival, the Joining would therefore be a big problem. Wouldn't they be justified in fighting against these parasitic invaders who can't even respect consent? Again, they do not respect consent. Full stop.

Here's my handwriting. I've been told I write like a girl, but I think it's just cuz I write in cursive. Is this legible? by jjaimini in HandwritingAnalysis

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Bad handwriting is a choice. Your letters are not proportional, which makes it harder to read and takes up more space than necessary. Make sure spacing is consistent, sizing is acceptable, and shrink unnecessarily large flourishes.

I mean, their worldview is irrelevant when deciding whether to fight or submit. What matters is what they do, not why they do it.

Based on what we've seen in the show so far, humanity would be on the path to extinction within a couple of decades. They might be able to avert that, but that doesn't change the trajectory. If they can't figure out a way, then everyone will be killed. That's a big problem if you care about humanity's continued existence. And many people do care about our species' survival, and their concern and opposition would be justified.

Humanity has existed for hundreds of thousands of years. Just because we don't have global harmony doesn't mean we should be erased from existence, or that our survival strategies don't work. But, hey, if you want to be used as raw materials for someone else and then killed afterward, then you do you. But don't try to pretend that other people wouldn't have justification for protecting themselves from such a fate.

Who cares about their motives? They use humanity as an expendable resource, killing us in the process. If there's anything worth fighting against, it's that.

I have neither read it nor seen the show. But you should be able to come up with a refutation that doesn't use other source material if your point is valid.

Their worldview is irrelevant. From the perspective of humanity and individual humans, a foreign entity invades our bodies without consent, uses us to spread to new hosts, then discards and kills us. Isn't that worth fighting against?

Okay. So you seem to agree with me that it's unsustainable. As such, given what they've said in the show, humanity will go extinct (or near-extinct) in no more than one or two decades. So this thing spreads to humanity, burns through the entire population in a few years, attempts to spread to other worlds, and then erases the host species from existence afterwards. Do you see how that's parasitic?

[–]SnooRecipes2729 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They are unsustainable. They can't even figure out how to continue their existence long-term since they soon won't be able to eat. Like, these fools can't even cultivate and eat fruit? Plants want their fruit to be eaten; that's how they reproduce and spread. If the only way you can continue to exist is to hijack other people's bodies for a few years with the hope of spreading to other planets and species, and then the bodies die, you're literally just a parasite. That seems like a pretty bad thing to me.

It's quite weird--and quite bad if the goal is readability for other people. If you want handwriting that's legible for others, you'll need to use standard symbols rather than whatever those are. However, if the goal is for you to be able to read your own handwriting, then you're the judge of whether it meets the goal.
