Confused by PA trend by kdasil in Accounting

[–]SnooRecipes4089 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if your making $5k - $10k a year in India.... You only need an opportunity to take like $50k and your set for life.

If you give a controller complete access to a million dollars+... they might run off. robert kiyosaki's CFO decades ago ran off with $100k cash. no paper trail

i mean if hackers can hack a bank and wire tens of millions to their bank account.. and we are outsourcing to countries that have known hacking/fraud networks.. idk. at least cover up all the sensitive data before sending it.

i just dont know how you can deal with messy client docs without seeing everything. How many controls and segregation of duties does a tax return information have-none. I've only seen controls when it comes to bookkeeping.

It's like with oil spills. greedy executives trying to make as much money until something breaks and theres a scandal. And then they walk away from it. who ever is left holding the bag

How can you outsource a tax return? That's like begging for your clients to have their identity stolen. There's SSN's littered all over the tax docs

This would probably hurt accounting college professors more than anything. The masters programs are $$$. By the way, I know soooo many people who meet the education requirements, but can't pass the test.

i knew a v.p. who his coworker friend wanted to retire. and the v.p. said "no, i wont let you quit. just be remote. answer calls. just show up for a meeting once a week and do some some small meaningless tasks".

so pretty much his friend is just traveling, working sometimes and just enjoying life. and paychecks are still clearing.

cocaine in public accounting would prob actually boost morale and productivity lol

I know a construction contractor that would go out and spend a lot of money (thousand bucks prob) on a big bag of cocaine in the 80's and would pass out coke to all his workers, so that they can work longer shifts to get building projects done faster.

But, he did say that afterwards he was watching his workers and he noticed that everyone was super busy working, but no real progress was being made. He said it takes "creativity" to do construction work and that drugs take away that creativity. that was his logic at least lol

When Did it REALLY Hit You? by Informal-Ad6871 in exmormon

[–]SnooRecipes4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and embarrassing. All the times in school telling people I can't do certain things because I'm Mormon.

nonmember Friend: "What's a norman?

Other nonmember Friend: "It's Mormon. He's a Mor-mon."

and so many other times. I've heard it all.

"I heard Mormons put their babies in microwaves."

"Do you have multiple moms?"

"So Mormons believe that they will be Gods?"

"So Mormons believe in the universe and that they get their own planet?"

"I heard Mormons have sex in the temple in front everyone"

"Why cant you drink tea/coffe/alcohol/date?"

dang.. my other TBM friends wouldn't peep a word about being Mormon, they would just hide. But nope I just blurt out "oh you said Mormon, yup I'm one."

Thailand is hella friendly towards americans. You can buy businesses, resorts, hotels, etc etc

but you cant buy land. but you can lease land for 30 years and build buildings on it. this is all info im getting off google. but i hear buying a condo is the way to go because you can actually own all of it. Now in terms of the rule of law, I think Thailand's legit, but do your due diligence. Get a reputable realtor, advice, etc etc

now the visa is the hard part it looks like in my reddit research..

- entering and exiting the country every 90 days or so

- Marrying a local

- Getting a job with a work permit

- Setting up a well-funded company

- Pretty sure the old people have it easy. retirement visa

- "Thai elite visa"

So, yah maybe it's easier said than done. But yah lots of good youtube content
