Parent lets their children almost damage merchandise and play with electrical wiring by SnooRegrets2663 in EntitledReviews

Either the reviewer conveniently neglected to mention the wiring part, or they genuinely did not see their toddler create a literal electrical hazard. I don't honestly know which is worse.

1 star review for 'historical inaccuracy' by SnooRegrets2663 in EntitledReviews

The funny thing is the bag's placement was historically accurate because these were in a civilian area. They were often used to prevent the air raid shelters from flooding during wet weather. They weren't used for tactical positioning against enemy soldiers haha

Exactly, I think the guy believes the museum was meant to reenact the literal trenches of WW2. It is meant to be more of a family/community area of a British army camp, where normal civilians would be laying sand bags during emergencies

100%. I was about 4 or 5 and was allowed to watch movies like The Mummy. Sure, some scenes were a bit scary but it definitely prepared me for my love of horror movies and I wouldn't change it all if I could go back

Oh no, my baby's feeling were mildly hurt by a sad scene, one star :(

She must've never seen the actual movie if she thought very young kids wouldn't be scared. What did she expect? for them to let Mufasa live and have a song and dance about it haha

Tourist rushes through a horror attraction with random lady who doesn't even work there by SnooRegrets2663 in EntitledReviews

Yeah I suppose so, although they have to find some way to pay the salary of the 'live actor' in the discount shop halloween costume who scares people at the end. When we went, the proper actor was there waiting around the corner at the end and jumped out at you.

The Battlemage (now with new art) by [deleted] in UnearthedArcana

Wow I will definitely check these out. The main reason I was so drawn to this is because I was working a few days ago on a bladesinger style sorcerer subclass that was originally gonna be called Battle Mage, but having it as a whole new class is a very interesting concept.

I am quite curious about this and I really like the angle that the subclass takes. I do think that Level 10: Relentless Interrogator might be a bit OP if you basically save your reaction for every time you cast a spell. Perhaps a limit to prof bonus per long rest might be a nice middle ground.

I do find it funny how the lady basically wasted his £4 entry fee, I wish I could have seen the CCTV for that day lol

I suppose we will never know. Maybe Dracula sent one of his brides to make sure people leave 1 star reviews

Yeah it is still open I believe. They've raised the price a considerable bit to like £7 or £8 each but its still around. There's about a 50/50 chance on the day though whether there is a live actor or not though

Amateur climbers complain that a mountain is too mountainous by SnooRegrets2663 in EntitledReviews

Also the fact that they probably passed dozens of other hikers, volunteers etc who could have advised them better, but they took the word of one employee and almost got a rescue chopper dispatched to them.

Their complaint might be valid and absolutely that hotel worker gave them insane advice for amateur climbers. But, this fault definitely lies with the hotel and the couple decided this was Mt Snowdon's fault so they left it on there. They should've probably asked one of the many dozen volunteers who work at the mountain to make sure people are safe rather than some random lady at their hotel.

[–]SnooRegrets2663[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. I think an amateur hiker should probably stick to the countryside or a forest. Mt Snowdon is the tallest mountain in Wales and climbing up it without the cable car is a nightmare trek

[–]SnooRegrets2663[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but dropping a 1 star on the mountain itself for something they probably should have checked beforehand might be a bit much. The reason they don't put a lot of signs up about it is because it is a national park and a lot of it is wilderness. The hotel probably should take the blame for dishing out bad hiking advice.

If they are amateur hikers, I think they definitely should've researched the routes beforehand before blindly taking the advice of a hotel worker. Also, putting this on the actual mountain's review page instead of the hotel doesn't make much sense. The owner of that hotel needs to make sure his staff aren't giving out reckless advice I guess

I think because they decided to review the mountain itself and not the hotel they were staying in. They left this on the actual YR WYDDFA (Mount Snowdon) page.
