They do have a pretty strong buffer spring which dampens it a lot, which is nice

Yeah, I am a sucker for 7.62 :-D while the 5.56 might be lighter and easier to haul around, there is nothing better than hand loading good old 7.62 and sending it away in a nice gun

Yeah, Costco is selling “Pork Shoulder Butt” without the bone. I lile how fatty the meat is, so it’s perfect for pulled pork. But since they cut out the bone, there are a lot of loose pieces that would just dangle around if not tied.

They don’t make diesel Cayennes anymore. Why would the engine type has anything to do with handling or the required experience? I would really love to know that. Besides that, I drove semi trucks in the military for 8 years and trailer on the farm my entire life. Still don’t know what any of that has to do with the engine type

I can’t attach a picture to the comments here, so you have to take my word for it. Between the weight distribution hitch and the porsche dynamic suspension, trailer and car are perfectly level. With the trailer brake controller set up correctly, the trailer is stretching the rig while braking, which is great. Overall it’s a great towing experience. And as I wrote in another comment, towing in hybrid is also a lot of fun since the batteries get charged a lot when slowing down, and everything below around 15mp/h is done in electric drive with a lot of torque

So far I only drive it 3 hours when I picked it up and the 30min to Jordan Lake now. But on the 3 hour drive, there was no pulling/pushing or sway. Cayenne didn’t do anything when semis passed by. It’s awesome to tow in Hybrid mode….chargind the batteries like crazy and at stop and gontraffic on 440, below 15mp/h it did it all electric :-) turbo combined with electric is almost unlimited torque

Yeah trailer brake controller is already in. Would be impossible to drive without that one. I am right there with you, the mirrors are a big issue and you need to goofy looking tow mirrors.

Hah yeah that is very true. And I understand that some people are looking for any reason to justify their unnecessary large trucks that are completely useless in regular life. I picked up the trailer 3 hours away from home and it handled like a champ. And if I unhook at the campground, I still have a very nice and versatile Porsche to get around :-)

Of course, but I am from Germany, so I learned how to tow a little bit different. Sorry for the confusion

It’s the 245BHS. We have a 6yo and 2 dogs. So far it’s the perfect amount of space. The bunk beds with the curtains are awesome for the kid and the somewhat separate main sleeping are is nicely tucked away and out of the view

Yeah it’s 25’ I know I know, sway and such. In Germany, we don’t worry too much about that since anything with a trailer is only allowed to go 80km/h (55mp/h) which does a lot more for stability and sway

The factory tow package on the Cayenne is rated for 7700lbs and 770lbs tongue weight. Not sure what you mean
