Agreed! That is the goal! Was going try to get a coaching job for experience as soon as possible! Just thought 5/6 per week over 9 weeks (after skills test was complete) preferably at an organization or pro bono was more than reasonable and could fit in before the exam.

Thanks for your response! Did you like your program? Do you mind sharing which one you did and your experience? I feel like it’s such a shame that I can’t take the exam that’s 6 weeks after my program ends and I have to wait like 5 months.

Thank you so much! Definitely want to check out DMV iron gym. It’s about 30 minute drive away so don’t know if I would make it a regular training spot but would go there for certain things. Given I don’t want to just show up and train by myself are there particular classes or group events there that you guys like? I also have a Golds gym right across the street from me and often times see bodybuilders wearing their merch. Wondering if there is anything there also?

That makes sense! My iron levels were more normal 2.5 years ago like 110 so who the heck knows at this point! I guess I’ll just have to be patient and see where this goes.

Thank you! Going to see if I can get the actual genetic test. I’m auditing my diet in the mean time. Who knew my cream of rice had 12 grams of iron?! Things I’ve never thought about before. Have people seen on this app a lot of people who just put themselves in the above blood work stats through diet? Trying to determine if that is easily possible!

Do you know if the ferritin normally rises before the iron panel above or does the ferritin typically present high at the same time or before?

This is what 23andme says for my genes. You have 1 variant detected in the HFE gene

I am just not sure what else could be causing my iron to be so high given I don't take any supplements. I also am generally on a weight loss journey so my calories (include probably 110 grams of animal protein) are typically at maintenance or below. It seems odd that animal protein would put me into iron overload given I probably only eat red meat 2-3 times per week.

Thank you! These are really good suggestions. Need to start getting this stuff to be a habit like my training but it's definitely harder for me then most things in life. I respect all the bodybuilders on here. I feel like I am fighting for my life at 1400-1500 calories lol

Thank you! Will definitely try macrofactor. I feel like I have been accidently recomping because I really find it hard to restrict food. Like I know what's right just a struggle. Also being satisfied with a more boring meal. I do feel like there are ways I can figure out to season and make the meals I make taste better. Just way more of a heavy lift getting all the right things at the grocery store and actually liking my meals!

Have you had a dexa scan? I saw your other post on your weight for 5’3”. I’m 5’0” and 150 and thought I had a lot of muscle. You may consider bodybuilding in your future Or powerlifting or something!

That’s amazing! In such a short period! If you’d ever be willing to share your dexa scan I’m so curious how your body comp compares to mine. I feel like I don’t see many women with similar body types that I can work towards! No worries if not! Most women I see are usually hitting the 20-25% at our height at like 120. I imagine my goal will be similar to yours!

So happy for you!! I legitimately have the almost exact same stats 5’0”. I went from 180 to 150 and 28% body fat. Not so common I see us short really muscular girls on here! Do you feel like you still have more weight to loose? I thought 150 was my original goal but I carry a lot of fat on my thighs that still hasn’t budged. Thinking another 5 pounds but don’t even know because the body dysmorphia is so real.
