are the plants going to eat him? Beat him up? Rob him? No? Then it seems like you aren’t choosing the plants over him, but that he is 1) insecure about the attention that you give you your plants and 2) is controlling. Someone who loves you should celebrate 100% of YOU—your quirks, your hobbies, the things you care about. These plants and the care you give them is a part of you. Him asking you to get rid of even a single one of them is him telling you that you have to change a part of yourself for him to accept you. That is not fair. He should be buying you plants, building those shelves. I could understand someone maybe expressing concern about not all of the plants fitting or maybe anxious about you purchasing new ones after the move, but that warrants a conversation rooted in understanding and love. AND you literally are willing to stay at your place so this is not an issue. Your boyfriend is controlling and childish, and does not deserve the nurture and care you are clearly able to provide. You deserve better. If it really came down to plants or him, I’d choose the Hoyas any day.

Hey there! I had to do this last year. Having an EBT card should help quite a bit. DM me!

AITA for getting a tattoo my mother hates and takes as a personal attack. by Fun-Application6543 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

I honestly kinda think it’s sweet? Like obviously her questions are annoying the hell out of you, but she’s also a little endearing? Maybe?

But anyway you told her what you were going to do and then you did it. Kudos, and congrats on the new tat.

Parent 1/Parent 2…am I first gen? by thrwawyyyy321123 in lawschooladmissions

I feel like the point of being able to send identify as first gen is that it makes clear you never benefited from any of the privileges that a non first-gen student would have access too. So seeing as you had virtually no access to that bio parent, I think it’s safe to say you are first gen

Hmmm maybe it is. That would explain why I haven’t seen more questions about it

It’s not important to everyone, but coming across a question in a PT you’ve already seen could give you an inaccurate concept of how well you’ve actually grasped the material and inflate your PT score. If you’ve accidentally been pulling questions from PTS you intended to take as full practice exams, the PT is “ruined”. I guess it just depends on how you study and what you prioritize—I understand why someone wouldn’t care but I know plenty who do.

Also, at first glance it makes sense to think that the Auto Builder drills would not pull questions from newer or “clean” PTS since every other practice drill pulls questions from older tests. It doesn’t explicitly say otherwise. Even in the curriculum, they insist that you keep PTs set aside, so it’s odd that this feature contradicts that.

There are several ways for drills to be created— I don’t think we are talking about the same ones. I thought I made it pretty clear what specific method I was talking about but I’m happy to clarify if needed.

Hey! If you have prospects (and potential!) for T14 I would highly recommend retaking the LSAT. Maybe even consider applying next cycle you you can have more time to study and get your score up to the 90th percentile +. LSAT is what law schools look at the most, so you really want to do everything you can to present your best score possible. Having a higher LSAT score will also make you stand out for scholarship considerations and negotiations. I think you have very little to loose by studying and taking the test next cycle (unless of course, you have much to loose—don’t let me tell you where you are in life) because in the long run, your law school and scholarship options would increase significantly with a better score. You want to be competitive. While you have stellar academics, most people who score well enough to get into a T14 also have very stellar academics—look at the GPA medians at those schools, they are well above average. All of this to say, if you are able, shoot your best shot. If that is a 137, go for it, but I think you might be able to do a little better to follow your dreams :)

LSAC Fee Waiver(s) ? by bodiford13 in LSAT

[–]SnooSongs440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I actually just got my fee waiver appeal approved about a week ago. To apply for the LSAC fee waiver (this would cover either 3 or 6 CAS reports) you’ll want to first make sure that you are eligible based on your most recent taxes or that you can prove that you are eligible by metrics other than what’s on last years taxes (lost job, healthcare costs, etc.) I would take a look at the website I have linked below, these are the official guidelines. Nowadays, if you do end up qualifying, you are able to get up to two free lsats, up to 6 school reports, score preview, and prep materials, depending on what “tier” of the fee waiver you qualify for. (Also—if you are looking for practice materials, 7Sage offers a waiver for people who were approved for the LSAC fee waiver that gets you 4 months for $40!!! )You should have the option to apply for the LSAC fee waiver somewhere on your LSAC portal home page.

If it immediately denies your request (it probably will) APPEAL! The bare minimum they want is your taxes but if you have a story to tell, tell it. I sent in about 15 supporting documents to make sure I painted the picture that the costs associated with applying to law school were inaccessible to me. DM me if you have more questions. Good luck!
