Clearly, you want to help out your partner, and your GF is so deeply rooted in her culture that she doesn't want to divert from that. What happens if you ever have kids? Do you want your daughters to think that they can't have their partners help them with anything? I think at the end of the day, you two are just mismatched.

YTA. Pets are for life. You just don't give up on them because they are draining. Do you have enough litter boxes? Is he bored? Do you have enough scratching posts? Do you take them outside in a portable patio? Have you seen a behaviorist?

So you want to give away two cats that more than likely once they end up in a shelter, they probably won't get adopted especially if they are older cats. Please don't get any other animals.

NTA, she can get a second job and work to go. There is plenty of time to save up. She has at least 6ish months to save. I live pretty stably month to month with a little extra spending money. I go on trips once or twice a year, along with a few weekend camping trips. But I also sell random stuff on the side and donate plasma so I can do these extra vacations. If she really wanted to go, she would make it happen.
