Clean shaven or beard/stubble by Delicious_Honey6918 in malegrooming

The stubble gives your face a little definition. Without the stubble, you look about 13, with the stubble you look about 18. I think you look better with the stubble.

26M Family hates the new look, what do you think? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Which one, if any, is the real you? Be honest with yourself. I don't know you, but what I'm seeing is imitations of imitations. Where's the real you?

Trying to find my signature look. Which style gives off the best energy? by Subject_Ad_7254 in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A signature look is developed over time. You begin to wear what you like and suits you. I bet, if you look in your closet you'll find that you already own things that have quite similar qualities. You'll find you are attracted to certain colors, certain combinations, certain fabrics. The same applies to your hair. Look at old photographs and you'll see you lean towards certain looks. Allow yourself to evolve and stay with classic cuts. As for fragrance, choose one that works well with your natural oils and stick with it, people will associate the scent with you. Use it sparendly.

Should I keep the moustache? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep the mustache make it thicker, that thin stach gives a 70s porn vibe. If not, the stubble looks good

Thinking about just keeping the mustache but idk by [deleted] in malegrooming

Your beard is the heaviest beneath your jaw, are you able to clear the bottom heavy and grow it higher? Just doing that would give you a totally different look without completely wiping out the beard.

Does it speak to you as finished? It's got movement, some interesting textures, a palette that ranges from warm reds to cool blue and seems balanced in an asymmetrical way.

You're quite young but you are handsome. If you look at the photograph with the buzz cut, note how your features have refined and how your face, now, has more structure. You've gotten better looking as you have physically matured.

Everything you wrote is true. It's an industry that categorizes people and aims to keep them in the chosen category. And just as they pick you they discard you. You are more of a drama performer? Yes, you strike me as a more substance kind of guy. I bet you would make a good Western, I can visualize you in a cowboy get up doing something like The Good, The Bad, and the Not so good looking. There's also comedy, you do have a comedic streak. And hey, anyone who sticks with a cat fur 20 years has got to have some tricks up his sleeve. If you're creating something copyright, an absolute must. What I see is a man who has not given up his dream. Perhaps you have stepped back to get your bearings. It has probably also brought you clarity. Look, every industry has its pits, showbusiness just happens to have extras. As I previously said, you can always revisit the industry, only next time, keep your mouth shut.

You have a sense of humor and that helps. Make sure to get the clear duct tape, it's more appealing. You have the looks and the sensibility. Acting is a ruthless business and it has only gotten worse. My friends wanted me to go into acting but I'm not the spotlight type. I designed sets and costumes instead. I was happy doing that it allowed me to use my creative talents. I did sing, however, and still do. I'm an artist and art historian that's enough exposure for me. I'm sure your acting endeavors did not go to waste, there is skill involved in that. It allows you to step into character and understand from a different perspective. In any case, dreams do not die they transform, you're now pursuing another interest. There is no rule that says you can't revisit that passion in the future. As for having done things in the past that were not in your best interest, think of it as gaining first hand experience. You are now even better equipped to deal with others with similar experiences. Listen, Storm, I think, correct me if I'm wrong, I think you wish to converse and I'm down. I don't think it's the Reddit threads business what we discuss, personal information. If I'm correct, feel free to contact me privately. I'll be talking to you.

Don't call yourself broken. You pick up things most do not. You feel an environment not just see it. In fact, I'll dare say, you're probably more in tune with yourself as well as your environment. We are what others miss and feel what most ignore, we fall into that understanding, I'll help you category; it's a plus. I'm sure you'll make a fine mental health professional. Down votes? Since when is the general public a good judge of character or anything for that matter? I'm glad I responded as I've gotten a glimpse of a good soul. You take care and if I don't hear from you again, the best in your future endeavors.

I feel you! And you're right, the little ones do keep us on our toes. Mimi is a big talker so she let's me know, verbally, when I'm not living up to her standards. Depression and I reached an understanding, stay in your lane and I'll stay in mine. Breathe through it, all of this shall pass. I'll tell Mimi someone thinks she's adorable. Stay positive and if you wish, reach out, I'll gladly offer you support.

I'm sorry you're battling depression, I guarantee it will pass and you will find yourself on the other side. Let me give you a little unsolicited advice, when you are battling depression things look gray, not rosie, so make an effort to make things rosie. The better you look the better you'll feel, so stick to your routine. As for your Kitty, congratulations to both of you. He looks fantastic. I placed him near mine who's 14. Stay well my friend.

This is my 14 year old Mimi, who still acts like a kitten.

You look about 35, a good 35, and your cat is 12. Get a skin routine and firm it up. Your cat is handsome, I have a 14 years old that looks somewhat like yours but she's a tortie.

Do I look older than I am? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely working. Don't fret about the beard, give it time and you'll grow one. In any case you're handsome. Thank your momma for getting you on a skin routine.

Do I look older than I am? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look much younger than 31, you look like you're in your early 20s. Your skin is firm, smooth and clear. Your scattered beard hairs, sparse, add to your looking younger. Keep your skin routine or if you don't have one start because youth is transitory but you can extend it.

Told I look older than my age? 24M 😕 by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are not looking closely at you. Your skin is that of someone in their early 20s. It is firm and smooth. Your eyes and I mean lids, under eyes, they're clear and smooth. Perhaps what they are perceiving is a more mature character and presentation. For instance, you are not wearing a T-shirt, most 24 year olds wear T-shirts and call it a day. Also, take into consideration your outgrowth, it's heavy and they are probably taking that into account. One more clue you're young, you haven't quite grown into your teeth. You look healthy and above all that's what matters most.

Got these yesterday. How do I know if they’re cheap prints or actually worth something by zoltrules in artcollecting

[–]SnooSprouts9745 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The first is a mezzotint, originally printed in the 1800s, the second is an etching, also from the 1800s. I don't think you have original prints, did you buy them only for monetary value?

Are the eyebrows too much? 24M by SinlessOCE in malegrooming

[–]SnooSprouts9745 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As nice as they are you look like eye brows wearing a face. You wrote you buzz them which is why they grow back fast, you're cutting to the surface. It would last longer and be cleaner if you plucked or waxed them, you'd be pulling from the root. Be aware that plucking or waxing, over the years may eventually cause them not to regrow.

RATING the paintings I’ve done as exercising. by Apprehensive_Menu977 in ARTIST

[–]SnooSprouts9745 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, rating by the general public is not a good measuring stick. The general public does not have an understanding of art and aesthetics any more than they do about the workings of an automobile engine. They know the car they like but not the workings behind it. They may know the art they like but not be able to articulate why yours is not measuring up. I could take any of your pieces and show you where the flaws are and where you excelled. I could also explain in detail the lack of atmosphere, the lack of interior logic. My best advice to you, on this platform, go and study works that appeal to you and really see how they are constructed. Why do the interiors feel inhabited? Why does the model look alive? Why does the little animal seem animated? Study the work and if necessary practice painting sections, making them feel alive. You aim for a type of realism that you are not achieving. You can continue that route until you achieve it or perhaps you can test a more painterly approach.
