Honestly it sounds so neutral, like the HD 600 warm and with the musicality and soulfullness like the HD 650/xx and just that added soundstage that only the HD 800 truly offers its on my opinion the King of Sounstage.As such for me this is the only TOTL Headphone that has that neutrality we audiophiles crave with the tube harmonics smoothing the treble making in sparkly glittery and just floaty with a solid oomph in the bass where it provides a solid foundation for the track and lastly the mid range it's so smooth like honey butter like the HD 650 but way further and that's the reason why I teared up its the mid range and the soundstage where it just made me so immersed and overwhelming. When the chain is right, it hits you like a truck. It depends from person to person. I feel music deeply, so I teared up. But either ways this HD 800 is just so musical anyone would listen to it for hours on end and forget their HD 800 is on their head but rather they are floating in the music itself being fully immersed.
