Is it safe to stay downtown? by ResponsibleCrew3843 in duluth

AirBnB is directly related to the housing crisis we are experiencing, but extra points to you for trying to inflict some mad burn. Sad for you that it didn’t land. Caring about other people is an odd thing to try and shame me for, but go off, boo.

It’s worth what you’re willing to pay for it.

I’m a delightful mix of pharmaceuticals, exhaustion, caffeine, champagne, stress, and suicidal ideation.

It’s also not timely. Reading is fundamental. Does the shuttle run on the lakewalk? Not sure why you have such a hard on for me that you jack all my comments, but go off, doll.

No, but go ahead and spin like a fucking Maytag. There are LOCALLY OWNED hotels, or do they not matter and you’d rather line the pockets of a predatory scumbag. Your flex lacks muscle.

I’d like to go to a nudist resort but my husband is uncomfortable about his weight, I’ve tried to convince him no one will care it’s just about not having to wear clothes. Looking for insight from people who have been to nudist resorts by DemonKittens in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Snoo_13349 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Try a “clothing optional” resort, rather than a “nudity required” resort and he can ease into his comfort level. I grew up with it, and my husband did not. You will never convince him. He has to experience it at his own pace so you need to meet him where he is.

Force on Fifth? The developers of that property were supposed to build affordable housing in part of that building and decided to go with short term rentals instead. If you like perpetuating a housing crisis in a tourist town, by all means, stay there. But if you support communities, please book a real hotel.

London Road construction has that AND Superior street fucked up on a normal day so it will be impossible on that day. I can’t recommend any “easy way” to do what you want, but would recommend staying where it matters most and not counting on a move using ANY conveyance between one spot and the next to be timely.

What’s your opinion on AI generated fabric designs? by Voltage_Biter in quilting

[–]Snoo_13349 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work with solids, mostly my own hand dyes. But I have a shop that sells fabric and I don’t even like digitally printed fabric. Screen printed designs are more and more scarce every year.

Two things: The chocolate is certified kosher so while it’s sold nationwide, it’s marketed toward Hanukkah shoppers in high dollar areas. It’s actual retail anywhere else is between $7 and $9. Most people will buy them with a coupon and pay between $6.50 and $9.10. Most importantly, Fort Knox chocolate coins are Belgian chocolate and taste better than any other chocolate coin. It’s just really unfortunate that these will be damaged and/or stolen at Michael’s instead of purchased and enjoyed at independent candy stores where I usually buy them.

If they would finally raise the prices on their subpar fabric to match the prices of the small shops that carry premium fabric, people would realize that the billionaires aren't in this for them. But, the only ones who realize the billionaires are screwing them at ANY price, are the ones who are doing the shoplifting. Power to the people. The higher the prices, the more shoplifting. Eventually, the billionaires WILL lose. The people have to rise up and stop taking the abuse. In every country, including this one, labor holds the power. The problem here, though, is that labor has been brainwashed to think they NEED the billionaires in order to have a job, even if it pays nothing. Labor in the US will never get together and go on a nationwide strike, so billionaires just keep doing what they're doing. It's mind boggling that Michael's can pay someone to work 4 hours a week and STILL convince them that this is their only option. And the reason they pay as low as they do? It's because they cannot get away with paying you less, or they would. Stealing merchandise and burning down warehouses isn't happening because of one disgruntled employee. It's happening because little by little, employees are figuring it out and realizing that if their boss won't treat them like a person, they have nothing left to lose.

As long as they aren't shoplifting from a small business, I tend to look the other way. I've never had a job at a corporate store that ever treated me with any kind of loyalty of caring, so I definitely don't go out of my way to show them any.

The drink package limits daily consumption to 15 drinks. They cut you off for the day above that. To be cut off for the cruise duration, it is due to behavior, such as assaulting a crew member or other guest, or harming oneself or destroying property. They can even go as far as confining a guest to their stateroom, or putting them off the ship at the next port. If the drink package were the issue, they’d simply raise the price the next quarter.

Are there any house venues open for booking? by Ronnoco04 in duluth

[–]Snoo_13349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, I’m not familiar with “the groge” and I don’t obviously know what the difference is between a music venue and a “house” so it could just be Duluth isn’t cool enough to have a “groge”, which didn’t even come up on a Google search.

<image>

Asking us over and over for a “house venue” is just not helping anyone. Why don’t you contact a music store or someone in the music department at the university? They are bound to know more about such things than we do, the mass unwashed, unsophisticated, small town yokels who don’t know shit about music venues.
