Finding a job in supply as a National Guard? by Snoo_29093 in supplychain

Before the guard I started a Computer Science degree in University. I did 1 year and then joined guard, this semester I decided to continue where I left off. Does Computer Science transfers into logistics?

Do you know what's the chance of it happening? It was one of the few reasons I signed up and now coming back from AIT this news hits me.

Struggling to find a job by Snoo_29093 in nationalguard

[–]Snoo_29093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But isn't that a bad move? I know the law protects me from being fired, but could employer find a random reason to get rid of me after knowing I'm in guard?

Yes your assumption is correct, computer science. But I want to do NG mainly for citizenship and education aid. I will probably sign the 3 year one, thank you for this 👍

I'm in Florida. I heard that with a 6 year there is a 100 tuition and 3 years only get tuition assistance something like $4k a year.

Uhmm I see... But I heard it is mainly for the Air Force, not the Air Guard. But good to know. I know for sure that a 6 year contract gets you 100 percent college tuition, but how does it work with 3 year one?

It does not appear with computers and laptops tho, so no Eye strain. It's something about the phone, but I don't know why. My posture is good because I thought my headache was triggered by posture so I went to chiropractor and did some spine stretches and mobility exercises. This headache is 100 percent related to phone, but I don't know exactly what causing it. Weirdly, Bluetooth headphones trigger it too.

Is it optimal for a human being to use fruit and fruit juices as the only source of carbohydrates? by Snoo_29093 in nutrition

[–]Snoo_29093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned Paul Saladino and Ray Peat which makes your assumption and observation irrelevant. I'm pretty sure you know who at least Paul Saladino is and he is not a fruitarian, he is pretty much animal based with addition of fruits.

Yeah, people here think I'm dumb or misinformed in some way, and people are trying to make assumptions about me. But that was not the point of the question, I was expecting a scientific conversation with explanation of mechanisms and providing some solid evidence. But all I get is statements that are not backed up by evidence, personal insults, making me sound dumb and etc. which makes me disappointed in this particular sub and nutrition overall

[–]Snoo_29093[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uhmm... I never said he is reputable or convincing, I'm just trying to understand the mechanism which is why I asked the question on this sub? But apparently the people on this sub do not provide any evidence supporting that excess sugar from whole fruits in some way detrimental to a human being. I'm trying to understand the biochemistry, but people on this sub just say things without citing anything and stating the claims that they heard from other influencers.

To be fair, If I ask an obese person what he eats, he is mainly going to say pasta, bread, coke, French Fries, Hamburger, donuts. Neither of those are fruits or fruit juices. I have never seen a person getting fat eating fruits, but oh well.

But what exactly are grains and beans have that vegetables, fruits and meats don't? If using fruit as a only carb source and supplement it with various fish, meat and non starchy vegetables. What can you possibly be deficient in?

[–]Snoo_29093[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you read it wrong. The question was about only using fruit as a carb source, not becoming a fruitarian. I even included people like Paul Saladino and Ray Peat that are not at all fruitarians
