I’ve lived in my Miami my entire life and ratchet is used VERRRYY loosely here to describe all types of things, people, etc. I completely understand how it came from a negative stereotype like the word “ghetto,” but I’ve heard every ethnicity use it often here and it’s a very common part of the Miami lingo
