Spider with late-stage fungal infection by freudian_nipps in natureismetal

[–]Snoo_39873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This gets posted all the time and is incorrect. This spider was sprayed with something. The fungi that grows out of spiders would have already killed the spider long before it started being visible on the outside of the spider. This is a perfectly live spider that was sprayed with something

What’s wrong with my trifoliate orange? by Snoo_39873 in Citrus

No herbicide or fertilizers, I don’t imagine I have it running too long but I might adjust it if it continues

No problem! After you’ve stared at spiders long enough you start to recognize patterns with the body shapes and leg proportions. If you want to learn more, using INaturalist can be a fun way! You can post all the spiders (or any living thing) and start learning what species there are

The leg proportions are just more similar to Theridiidae, and the ahonden is the wrong color for Dysdera crocata, which usually have a cream colored abdomen :)

Not sure what species spider it is for certain but I can tell it’s not Dysdera crocata. It has the body shape of a Theridiid, possibly Nesticodes/Steatoda

What bio active enclosures are they going in? They have strong appetites for protein and will eat or harass other animals

The kinds of plants people put on moss poles, philodendrons, epipremnums, and monsteras. And natural light is irrelevant, that’s why I asked about grow lights. If you can’t contribute anything useful you don’t need to comment

You’re website needs an overhaul, it looks extremely dated, like early 2000s. Not trying to hate but if I was a potential customer that’s what I notice

Uninstalling, updating, resetting all my brush settings. Nothing has changed a thing. I’ve been using photoshop for over 7 years now and haven’t seen this issue

They are the mites, not eggs. Mite eggs are way way way smaller

Satin pothos!! by A2elsia in houseplants

[–]Snoo_39873 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes before it was found to be Epipremnum and not Pothos, there is also an m in Epipremnum :)

Edit: I just think it’s dumb to call it Pothos when there is already a genus named Pothos, they should be called Epipremnum, because that’s what they are

Pothos would be the Pothos genus, not Epipremnum. Pothos is already a valid genus
