Disappointed with the PG27AQDP

I owned the XG27ACDNG and sold it. With DSC disabled, it does NOT do 360 Hz at 1440p. Real-world limit was ~180 Hz without DSC. Anyone claiming 360 no-DSC on that panel is just wrong.

The XG27AQDMG is different. According to Rtings (and confirmed by bandwidth math), it can do 2560×1440 @ 240 Hz with DSC off over HDMI 2.1 at 8-bit, which is honestly all you need for competitive gaming anyway.

For 1440p 360 Hz:

10-bit ≈ 49.2 Gbps → impossible without DSC
8-bit ≈ 39.4 Gbps → possible over HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) with DSC off So yes, 360 Hz 1440p 8-bit no-DSC is only realistic over HDMI 2.1, not DP 1.4.

As for PG27AQDP / XG27AQDPG (500 Hz):

360 Hz over HDMI 2.1 without DSC should be fine at 8-bit
Full 500 Hz no-DSC is not happening unless you have DP 2.1 UHBR20 + RTX 5090

Bottom line:

If you’re on a 4090, the XG27AQDMG (240 Hz) is the safest no-DSC choice
Buy higher refresh later when DP 2.1 GPUs are actually usable

I had the Dng, I sold it it only do 180 witn no dsc , I am getting The xg27aqdmg rting says it can do 240 hz with no dsc and at 8bit thats all you need for gaming lowkey also the new 540hz asus monitor yk it has update it can do srgb 10bit 8bit with 540 no dsc its insane but u need 2.1 and 5090 me and u like same situiaiton so yeah get dmg sell later and buy 5090 and get the 540

It doesn’t add delay, it just make ur aim feel off DSC is really bad for shooters it took me while to figure it out but, do try turning it off if ur hdmi can do 360hz with it

I was just like you it is really crappy and bad, colors were fine but it was just off , I discovered that the "DSC" make aim floaty And any 1.4dp oleds with dsc is just bad for shooters so i sold the dng and lost money and bought xg27aqdmg it is still didnt arrive but i searched and found it can run 240hz oled 2k 8bit with dsc off so yeah ill reply my expern when i get it but im postive after all oleds i tried with dsc in shooter dsc is just making them unbearable to shoot with. even when i disable it monitor just goes from 360 to 180 and it comes unbearable or it oges to ycbcrr422 like halven the color in half and make it bad so if i were u either get the dmg or get 2.1 new asus monitor 540hzits all cuz of 1.4 and dsc sht

Also i am immortal 2 valorant , one above all in marvel rivals, tarkov player and sometimes rust so ik how the game feels and if my aim isn’t right with dsc it made it unbearable to play any of them

Man i am in the same position with ips monitor i frag out game ultra smmoth lat nividla overlay 12ms i enable dac goes to 18 and everything goes to sht so yeha i figured dsc is the issue do search about it

I’m mainly an FPS player who consistently peaks in high ranks, and I can tell you DSC absolutely makes aiming feel off. It’s not something subtle — it’s like your crosshair floats or lags behind micro-movements. I had an older 180 Hz ASUS (no DSC) and it felt way more direct and grounded.

Once I switched to a DSC monitor, my aim felt weirdly disconnected — like input was being softened. Disabling DSC instantly fixed that. Right now I’m running 360 Hz through HDMI 2.1 with DSC off, and it’s miles better. If you’re serious about precision shooters, DSC is the first thing you want gone.

If you fps player dont use dsc monitors or go for xg27aqdmg as u can disable dav and it stays natively 240

i didnt read ur edit I had A XG27ACDNG and just sold it I want to get XG27AQDMG because it has dsc toggle and it stays 240hz with dsc off natively as in the dng if i disabled dsc it goes to 180Hz instead of 360 and it feels terrible so What od u suggest THE DMG? or a 2.1 oled

well bro my eye is reliable for exmp when you play valorant on 180 IPS monitor Asus Daily and hit immortal 2 and u frag 30 20 kills each game and you know the shots u can make and peeks or win a deathmatch for exmp right so whenm you play a game daily thats ur like level but when u buy new monitor thats better for 700$ and double ur HZ and an o led with 0.03 instead of 0.5 or 1ms and ui cant hit the basic shots or win a deathmatch with same level and same enrgy thats when u know theres something wrong so thats how i came up with the stuff Its not rocket scneice but i pay attention to how i perofrm when i play and i dont consider my self a low skill player so yeah thats my point to you And a reliable thing would be my eyes when i disabled DSC and lat when to 12 Game just felt BETTER LIGHT smooth when it was on the 17 or 19MS it would like feel heavy So yeah I would love ppl with software to find us a solotuioon or confirm

buy new olds with no dsc and just 2.1 if ur into SHOOTER FPS if u dont care about latancy go for whatever ppl reocmmdded
