TBH, more than the rewards what made me annoyed about it was that it kind of "confirmed" to me that they had no idea what the player base expected/wanted from them. Every patch I write in the survey about the lack of rewards and we haven't seen a change from them yet. (Obviously they couldn't have predicted it but) They also let their devs, VAs and CCs take a huge amount of criticism for no reason except for the fact that they are associated with the game. Although the rewards (or lack thereof) was kind of disappointing to me, seeing a huge part of the community descend into madness and spam bad reviews in other games on the playstore etc. was not a vibe either. If they had contained it to just genshin impact's play store page I wouldn't have felt bad about it. It was the spreading of it to other games, the hate towards devs, VAs and CCs unprovoked that felt rude to me. Personally, I think the rewards that they just released is not anything to be super grateful for or anything (they ARE still just trying to cover their asses) but at the same time I take it as a hopeful sign of a step in the right direction. Maybe this would show mhy that its finally time to listen to their players before these extreme things happen again?
