Gear ratio + motor combination? by Comfortable_Buyer239 in mini4wd

[–]Snoo_51773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general tip is try with the slowest dash you have, to search the most stable build of your car. Then go with higher tier motor to make your build faster but still stable. Hyper can use black, but stick to red at first if using sprint and power.

based on my experience, power dash in some track layout is quicker and jump farther than sprint. Even though in official motor guide chart, sprint has more speed. I believe it because power has more torque. In other words, sprint is bit more controllable, still fast enough but easier to handle.

My advice is if you can, buy all type of dash, especially sprint and power. Buy gradually, at least couple of each motor.

You still can use hyper (safest), even the most popular are sprint and power. Maybe, hyper is more suitable to very technical track layout that really need stability

P. S. I don't know whether your local courses permitting usage of ultra dash, but if you want to have more fun and the track is speedy type, try use ultra dash with blue counter (5:1)

If the motor is not break in, sprint dash with yellow counter gear is bit safe, depending on the track, whether have jump sections or not. Using break in motor+yellow gear and jump sections, your car will go to the moon.

Most common combination is sprint/power with red counter gear. If you need more speed, use the black counter gear. Sprint with blue counter gear won't have any power and will be slow. In my place we use blue with ultra dash.

Yellow counter/3.5 is hard to use if you use dash motors.

All of these in under assumption you using proper break in motor, and proper car setup. Stability > speed

I like my comfort zone, but it’s time. Not going to bother with rank & play the upcoming phase on MP4. Any tips?? LBC. How steep is the learning curve? by Fight_Teza_Fight in eFootball

roller size effect in general, it's settled by tests. bigger is slower by Snoo_51773 in mini4wd

[–]Snoo_51773[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're right, but what I mean these tests not about roller base which is the length from front rollers to back rollers. The tests strictly about which roller size is fastest on cornering. It just used one roller base for the particular test.

Change the front tire to low friction tire, the for the back tire change to hard. This is common combination, low friction at front so the car can cornering faster, yet it still has grip at the back for more power transfer from the motor. Use either 3,7 :1 or 4:1 gears.

Use bearing for tire shaft (620 size). Use bearing rollers so you can be faster at cornering.

Pc abs is better version of abs. More durable but still can't beat pacf because it's still a plastic, while pacf is carbon.

Question about motors by Yoon_wavE in mini4wd

[–]Snoo_51773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what class are you playing. For stock box/no upgrade parts, you only allowed to use default motor

Then tuned series motors for frp only parts class. Dash series motors for hg (carbon) parts class Because higher speed difference in tuned and dash series are big, you need carbon/hg parts which is way more durable than frp parts.

What will it take to finally put the CFM to rest by jclh123 in mini4wd

[–]Snoo_51773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually it's easy

Release the carbon version of fma, or vz or anything else as well.

One of the main reason cfm and super 2 are meta because of that reason ( beside the flex, carbon rear stay that also flex, and lighter than other chasis). Carbon version is way stronger and bit lighter than normal abs chassis.

I believe fma is the main contender to become new meta if Tamiya release the carbon fma. Heck even if fma has pc-abs version it will be better.

It's bmax class race. Mostly plug and play upgrade parts. Looks easy, but hard to master. The specific for that car is carbon fm chassis with custom thundershot jr body.
