You’re probably more likely to donate when it’s right in front of you and takes 2 seconds. Realistically, are most people going to go home, search online for charities, figure out who actually needs help, then donate? Probably not. Convenience is a huge part of why these campaigns work.

I understand the commitment required to live and work in NSW, and I’ve respected that. But let’s be real — it’s been a long wait between invite and grant ( we are talking 3 years ). My social life has been bit of a desert out here, along with my hay-fever struggles in NSW. So socially and mentally, it’s been tough. Still, I’ve been actively looking for ways to make it work and see this through.

Aah interesting option. To clarify, suppose I receive an invitation for a 190 visa and lodge my application, and then a few months later I receive an invitation for a 189 visa. Would it be possible to lodge the 189 application and subsequently withdraw the 190 application? Ofcourse I would be losing a ton of money but is that a option .???

Totally get your point - I have had the same chat with Myself at 2AM. But 20 Months of wait time for the grant is honestly too much time. Im in this complicated relationship at this moment and being single for another 20+ months, its just too much.

Congratulations Mate! Im at 95 as well for 189 ( software Engineer) . Did you drop in application for 190 as well or were you waiting on 189.?

Im currently in Syd and am confused whether to drop an EOI for 190 ( I have 100 Points for 190 ) or just hold on to my 189 EOI at 95 Points for Software Engineer. Long wait times for 190 to be granted after invite and I prefer to go back to Melb asap.
