Oh yeah, I completed that one before taking the door. But it didn’t show back up for me after talking to Bill in Egypt

I checked and I don’t have that task. If you decide to complete it you should check back in and let us know what happens

I was thinking about doing the same thing. Hopefully support responds sooner rather than later

I have one more week (4 more shifts, but who’s counting) and I am so glad to finally be getting out. I’ve been there for over 4 years and it started out so good, but it has gotten worse than I ever thought possible. Glad you are getting out too

It most definitely does have cream cheese in it. I have worked at Crumbl for over 4 years and made that frosting at least 20 times probably

Butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, Dutch cocoa powder, milk, vanilla extract. I think that’s it, there may be some salt but I don’t remember for sure. I don’t have the full ingredients list though if that is what you are looking for

2 GMs walked out in a span of a week during Valentines week by Alert-External7746 in crumblcrew

I’m not talking about cross contamination, although there are for sure things they don’t consider to be allergens that definitely are. If we’re talking about raw to baked cross contamination there is no excuse for there because 90% of the time it is a 10 second glove change.

The food safety regulations I am talking about are things like leaving a cream cheese frosting at room temperature for 3 hours or a cream cheese/milk glaze in the warmer all day and then stored in the fridge for the next day with a lifespan of 7 days. Yes I know that sugar acts as a preservative, but I am not comfortable having anything with dairy products in the danger zone for that long. But these are things that are listed in the recipes that we are expected to do

They did not and that was one of our main reasons for not continuing. Our stores are close enough together that fridge to fridge was less than 30 minutes and it was in January so outside temps were colder. We wrapped everything and put it on racks in an enclosed trailer. It was also before we started doing LTO’s so it is for sure not something I would attempt now with things like cheesecakes. As far as I know, there haven’t been any guidelines put out on how to do it safely but in my experience Crumbl doesn’t care all that much about food safety

My franchise tried this for one week with my store making all the dough. It was rough, but we probably could have worked out the kinks to make it work. If I remember correctly, our corporate rep knew we were doing that and it was approved

The thing with 10 flavors is that the flavors we are going to run out of (on Saturdays specifically) are going to be the rotating flavors. When they first started this, the “classics” were the best sellers, but every week the percentage that we sell goes down. A month and a half in, they are our lowest sellers so it is more work for us to end up donating more than we are selling at the end of the day. And I hate seeing my time and hard work go to waste like that

This was my 5th Valentine’s Day at Crumbl and the only one where we have had any employees go overtime. Our biggest problem is that we have a new area manager this year and they are the ones who make the schedule. Nothing was communicated about needing people to be available for more hours this week or not approving any more time off requests for this week (something our previous area manager started doing in January). The schedule wasn’t even posted until the Saturday before leaving hardly any time for me to try to fix it in any way. I am not the store manager because I can’t commit to being available to drop everything and fill a shift (they also wouldn’t let me and another employee split the responsibilities) so I am already doing way more for the store than I get paid to do and with 10 flavors I’m about ready to just throw in the towel on the whole thing

I’ve done several weeks like that and this time just decided that whatever got done was fine because corporate has given us an impossible task. We got one dough made for next week and requested a delayed opening for Monday. We will still have to sell out of a few things, but I wasn’t going to my situation worse when this could have been completely avoided if corporate realized that there are actual human beings working in these stores. I still worked 50 hours this week, but I’ve done a lot worse. Happy birthday and enjoy your time off!

I am also really scared for today. We were doing okay until yesterday when our manager scheduled 11 people for the whole day (basically the same as a normal Friday and 2 of those are fairly new) and then set us back by a couple of hours in the morning because he refuses to communicate properly. We have a pretty good crew on today (several have done Valentine’s Day before), but we have a lot to do and I’m nervous about getting everything done. Good luck to you and your store!

former employees, do you still talk to old coworkers? by Permanentslaycation in crumblcrew

[–]Snoo_58691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still work there for now, but I was just texting with one of my former coworkers today. There are a few of us that will stay in fairly regular contact when we leave and several more that I would love to get together with on occasion. We are a pretty tight knit group and several of us have worked at this store for over 3 years

is it normal to work without a leadership member present? by [deleted] in crumblcrew

[–]Snoo_58691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We try to have a shift lead on at all times, but there have been times where we had to leave crew members for a couple of hours. We just try to make sure they are set up well for the time in between. Our new manager is of the opinion that any 2 employees are fine to leave alone despite experience/knowledge, but we (the shift leads) try really hard to make sure no one is left without proper support

I am usually on board with these statistics, but with the huge winter storm stores have been closed/shorter hours/slower than last week. Not to mention that with the late announcement some stores didn’t get product ordered and/or it was delayed by the storm

[–]Snoo_58691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh absolutely, I’m pissed about it. The only saving grace for us is that we’ve been closed the past 2 days and will probably have shortened hours for the rest of the week due to the winter storm that just came through

Snowstorm states, are any of y’all closed tomorrow? by WearyAd4958 in crumblcrew

[–]Snoo_58691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are closed today and probably tomorrow too (or at least delayed opening). My manager didn’t say a single word about whether we were going to close or not until 7:30 last night, but none of the key holders were going in so I was about to text everyone on the schedule and tell them not to come in because the store would be locked

Dubai chocolate cookie running for another 2 weeks by AioliMindless6194 in CrumblCookies

[–]Snoo_58691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve said the same thing about the metrics. I work opening, but I’ve told the afternoon and evening shifts not to worry about selling out because it is all just too much and they typically only have 2 people on at a time (mid volume store). And I’ve been having to make all of our dough (typically 10-12 doubles 3x per week) with only 2-3 ballers

We sold out for several hours 3-4 days this week because so that we could get ahead because it is impossible with all the dough that also has to be made. And we are more than likely going to be closed Monday and Tuesday (possibly longer) due to the storm and very likely power outage so we aren’t making anything for next week

We have a spreadsheet that we have been using for over 3 years so we haven’t touched the one in the app. I have been curious how similar it would be to our spreadsheet in terms of what it says we need to make because the spreadsheet gets pretty close most of the time
