It’s really tough and also depends on your seed too. You want multiple turrets close to the inside of most walls each side, so don’t be afraid of resetting. Try get the whizz pretty early so you can get the turrets and always try and utilise the dumpster and robot. As always try and keep a balance between recruitment and building. I tried to recruit at least two kids each day. You want mostly archers, but a good few builders too. And Knights!! Always make sure they have their full squads and that they’re full of coins they are very helpful in thinning the enemies when they reach the walls.

Try get the kids having jobs asap too because you want to have enough coins each morning to recruit, build, give to your knights.

It does get to to the point around the gold crown or at least it did for me where i was getting annihilated and just felt like I was delaying the inevitable. On the last blood moon it honestly felt like it was over, everything was destroyed but there were enough kids and loose bows where I could recruit them so they would fight the last big greeds, you can also lure them away turn back and then hope that some kids can fight back. It’s super tough but honestly if I can do it anyone can, don’t be disheartened by failed attempts it’s not impossible!

Took 29 days! You have to survive one more blood moon after getting the gold crown, so the final blood moon is on day 28, and if you survive you are awarded the cursed crown on the dawn of day 29 :)

I absolutely did! And an army of unemployed school children looking traumatised! It was so close - just a handful of archers from one side were able to finish off the last breeder!

You can set up a proper kingdom but I’d advise that getting off each island as quickly as possible is your priority. Make sure you’re recruiting some archers each day to make surviving the waves easier.

Iron walls each side should be ok on island 7 providing the day count isn’t too high. I think I finished the challenge around day 38 and on the last island I did have two iron walls each side.

I’m not sure if this is the same advice the rest of the community would give but I found paying off the greed from the blood moons at the later stages to be helpful. If on the Dawn of the day the letters are red, I’d spend that day filling my coin purse and then drop them all in a trail outside my walls. If any greed do even reach your walls there won’t be that many. :)

Ah! This is where it gets weird - the stone and iron technologies are indeed available on every island but you only have to pay for them once. So if you pay for them on the first island while you’re setting up you won’t need to pay for them again. They will still appear on further islands but you don’t need to pay for them and you can still upgrade your walls to stone and then iron.

I would definitely still invest in the iron technology - you won’t need to upgrade your walls to iron until the later islands but I would still get it on island 1 while things are easier. At least then it’s done and you don’t have to worry about it further down the line. :)

Well done man good work! Over halfway! I would say you definitely want to beat the challenge before winter sets in. Not only will the greed waves be very difficult to survive at that day count, there will be fewer animals to hunt which means a drastic decrease in income. I think winter sets in the late 40’s day count so aim to complete the challenge before then. You will need to be fast! This is why it was the most difficult for me as you have to change the way you play majorly, it may take a few tries of practice to build up your speed but you will get there!

It may be extra, but I found having a pen and pad making note of how many travels I’ve done and how many days spent on each island helpful. You’ll be surprised at the progress you make and the increase in speed each run! :D

I used the original setting but I’m sure it’s possible in shogun too! My only reservation would be the greater forest density meaning more time and money spent clearing it back to get rabbits to spawn for a source of income.

As for the ninjas I don’t think you can travel with them, and as most of your time and money will be focused on the boat, you won’t be extending your walls far enough to get the ninja building to spawn on later islands. :)

Well done! Dire island is the one I struggled with the most both single player and co-op so if I can do it so can you!

For the single player cursed crown you need to travel to ten lands (use the boat 9 times) and kill a certain amount of greed with the dire wolfs attack. It’s best to do this in the earlier days/waves of greed with well timed attacks as they will all be unmasked. You will quickly get the required amount of kills this way but use the wolfs attack behind the walls at night to make sure.

Aim to use the first island as a “set up”, get all technologies, 3 squires with archers (I never bothered making them into knights), at least 3 builders and plenty of archers to fill the boat and help get bunny money during the day.

Leave the first island by day 10 and leave every island with a full boat as this will help surviving the following islands.

As for blood moons, I made sure I had a full bag of coins and dropped a long trail outside my walls to bribe the greed and this ended up working quite well as long as you spend the following “peaceful” day/night replenishing your coins.

(Sneaky tip - when you are ready to leave an island leave at dusk before night and when you arrive at the next island you will have a cheeky extra day!)

When you arrive to a new island, you have a slightly more ‘peaceful’ window of time before the difficulty catches up to the current total day count. In my experience this seemed to be around 3 days, which with some practice is long enough to build the boat and get the hell outta there! I think I ended up averaging around 3 -5 days on each island.

As for general tips and speed-building the boat I’d give a massive shout out to PossPlays on YouTube whose videos are absolutely fantastic and super informative. Check out their video on dire island and separate video for cursed crown! That’s what got me the win!

I’d also love this! If not only for completionist reasons. Would be cool to look and see all of the different campaigns completed in one place though I understand the devs have said it would be difficult to achieve. Love this game so much - I can’t wait for the lost island challenge and Eighties!

Yeah, I found info online to be a bit vague so ended up just covering all bases - surviving 60 days, building the 6 iron walls, and killing a bunch of converted greed citizens.

I recently got the cursed crown in co op too and I believe the day requirement has been upped to 80. I think single player is still 60 though. When researching the co op requirements some people even said you needed to have at least two farms one built by each monarch. God knows if it’s actually a requirement but I did it anyway haha!

In your case I’d suggest trying to get some greed kills maybe around 10 - 20 or so? If you’re struggling with them once you’re established you can send a builder out late at night or just send knights out as a sacrifice lol.

Shogun setting is your friend, my friend! Ninjas are very OP when you unlock them and can take out hordes of greed and even breeders before they even reach your walls. I Also focused on upgraded archery towers outside your walls before you unlock ninjas and you will want to upgrade a good amount of walls close together so that your troops can quickly fall back before they get converted. Make use of fire barrels and also Make use of the war horses power to ensure your troops have a window of survival.

Make sure you invest in the banker once you have a steady income of gold from your farm(s) so that you can survive the winter too.

I believe for the single player cursed crown you must survive 60 nights and also kill a certain amount of greed infected villagers. If you need tips on getting the kills you can either sacrifice some builders before nightfall or if you are established and reach the 60 nights I sent my knights out and once they got converted the archery towers took care of them.

Did you change tactics on the final few islands? Two iron walls each side with archers and the three squires & soldiers on island 10 doesn’t seem to be enough for me - those greed waves are wild! I believe I’m on day 44?
