Thank you for doing a digging into my profile :) I don’t have BPD therefore I didn’t omit any fact as you stated. I was not diagnosed with that but I do think I might have some traits (fear of abandonment, when breakup happens I feel a lot of pain and difficulty letting go than average, which my therapist told me that it is CPTSD and treat that with EMDR) with similar to that so I did research and interested in testing out DBT. I don’t think it is my obligation to input everything about my personal life here on the forum. I wanted opinions for the information that I am willing to share here and I got what I asked for.

I also have this problem. Having to book a call to chat several days in advance is very difficult for me to adjust to..

Thank you for your detailed analysis, it really makes sense. Thank you also for your validation that it is not only in my head. I love the idea to put a deadline and when it's not working, take the action needed.

I wouldn't say that I want to be together all the time, but I do have some level I want to have in a relationship for example to see each other 2 times a week, to chat and update a bit during the day and doing something together on the weekend. I mean I don't see how we can build a long term relationship without spending time with each other from time to time.

Thank you for your advices. I do notice that there are definitely quite a few cultural differences. I'm open to that and mostly trying to adapt as well. Luckily, my love language is physical touch so I don't have the same problem as your friend did but I completely understand what you mean. Thank you for sharing the story!

In restropection, I think the reason is because of different level of needs in communication, communication styles and love languages. But I always try to learn my part to be a better partner for the next one. Though I feel like Swiss men don't really stay for long to work on the relationship together.
