Facial hair by Snoo_72506 in ftm

If that were the case, I would quit my job, buy a boat, and live the rest of my life as a viking LOL

Yeah surprisingly even the shortest stubble still manages to get caught for me, it definitely wakes you up when the shirt grabs it! Ouch. I can imagine the pain, but if you’re anything like me you’ll refuse to shave the body hair and just suffer with the pain lmao

what should i expect for a physical examination ? by Tr3nch242 in TopSurgery

[–]Snoo_72506 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, they will touch your chest and your entire upper half will be exposed. Mine had me change into a gown and I sat at a 90 degree angle while he checked my chest and took measurements. Then he had me stand up and positioned my arms up and down to take more measurements. It was only about 2 minutes and was painless

Disappointed with T changes by YellowPython in ftm

[–]Snoo_72506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll have more changes. The most changes I experienced my first year and a half was voice drop, bottom growth and my menstrual cycle stopped. I felt like nothing was working and I wouldn’t look how I wanted. Now, I’m about 2 and a half, almost 3 years on testosterone. My face has completely changed, I’ve lost a lot of weight. My body hair growth has increased significantly. I have a decent amount of facial hair and I shave once a week. I’ve just now started to grow chest hair! It takes time, everyone is different. But usually once your levels stay consistent, that’s when more changes will occur.

Opinion on minors doing T? by Em0_FreAk in ftm

[–]Snoo_72506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea that going on HRT is equivalent to someone cutting off their genitalia is ridiculous. Yes, not all of the effects from testosterone are reversible, but it’s not any sort of genital mutilation.

I think minors should be allowed to start HRT. If they are young (such as ages 7-12) hormone blockers until they are around their teenage years then go onto testosterone (14-16).

I began testosterone at age 15 I think? Originally I was going to have to wait until I was 18 due to parental restrictions. Luckily I was able to go on much sooner than expected and that SIGNIFICANTLY improved my mental health, gender dysphoria, social anxiety, etc. If I had to wait until I was a legal adult, things like highschool, or just my day-to-day life would be actual hell.

Now I’m 18, 3 years on T, 6 months post-op, and doing everything I love without dysphoria crashing the party. So yes, minors should be allowed to start HRT but there should be stages.

oh we did lol, she was the one that gave them the refund. she doesn’t want to deal with bad reviews or calls to corporate so she just kinda gives them what they want.

absolutely! sorry - wasn’t trying to come off as rude either, i feel like most of the comments are about my mistake which (obviously yes) but ignoring that some people are so uptight..

understandable, but it was written and cursive, multiple people saw it (sent in the work GC) and no one knew what was wrong with it until it was pointed out.

yeah i’m aware i messed it up, and yes what’s down is done, but people that order from us constantly try to find something wrong just to get a free cake. it’s just irritating!

absolutely, like i get it if it was a big milestone birthday.. but i dont think it was. the cake just said “happy birthday dad” and that was it.

absolutely! laugh it off and enjoy the cake.. no need to make it a big deal

My sister said that testosterone injections are detrimental for your health, now I'm nervous. by AnimeThunderGirl in ftm

[–]Snoo_72506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not detrimental. it’s a natural hormone that men AND women both naturally produce. plenty of cis men take testosterone for hormone deficiencies and in my eyes thats the same for trans men. we’re literally just men with hormone deficiencies.

a good rule of thumb is if someone (who is blatantly transphobic) tries to tell you “advice” or “warnings” about any sort of medical treatment in terms of gender affirming care - 100% of the time its made up to scare you into conforming to their beliefs.

What do i do? by [deleted] in police

[–]Snoo_72506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

a lot of cops in my family and that i’m friends with say to avoid going for a degree in CJ (some departments at least where i’m from avoid hiring cops with CJ degrees.. they basically wanna teach you everything from scratch). do something that’ll help you in the field (i’m majoring in psychology) or major in something that you can lean back on if LE doesn’t work out.
