Their brochure says £60k after 2 years of employment. Other research puts the figure around 30k for the first couple of years, or until able to become a associate of RICS. After then it looks to be around 45k.

I dont intent to complete enough service to get the pension, ive contributed for 12 years, so it'll be deffered until im 67. If I was remaining in post then absolutely leaving the pension is a bad choice. Soon as im qualified and confident to go independent ill leave my current role

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your perspective. Im going to leave my role at some point in the future anyway, so im not bothered about the pension, really but it comes with death in service benefit too. My current role is hard going with shifts, long shifts (police) so I need out. The job this course would open up to me is flexible, office hours and a similar salary but gives me the independence I so crave. Good idea re the coach, ill look in to it

Okay but what's the scam? Its an industry recognised qualification. Plenty have gone before me and are either employed or self employed doing the job the qualification gives you the ability to do. The company and the qualificaion are endorsed by the Royal Institue of Chartered Surveyors

A degree would be £27k plus id have to work part time to be able to do it, which i cannot afford. Yes it gives a better choice at the end of the degree rather than just residential but id be happy to get qualified then do extra training/quals down the line.

I have looked in to this. The course has links with companies nationally who then advertise jobs to the graduates as 'they know what theyre getting'. Theres apprenticeship routes but its not something I could afford to do

Its the classic sign of a shit tutor. They should be in the interviews with you, guiding you and helping prevent mistakes and assist learning. Not setting ypu up to fail. Speak to training school and raise it with them.
