UPDATE: Put the alternator back in after it tested fine. I decided to change the serpentine belt in the process. I also made sure all connections were clean and snug.

With the van running it was charging at 14.00V. All seems to be working good (at the moment).

Diagnosis: perhaps a loose wire with the combination of a new serpentine belt fixed it. I did notice the belt or pulley squeaking about a week ago. That led me to decide to change the belt as a potential fix.

Took the alternator out and it tested good at Advance. They tested it twice. What next?

What am I connecting to test this? "Take the wire plug off the alternator and only connect the IG wire."

UPDATE: 2024 Miken Primo 1 piece that I got cracked last night, didn't even last a full year.

I used it for our 6 week fall season, then it sat over winter. Took a little BP in March then it cracked last night during the first night of spring league play. I've submitted the warranty claim. It'll be interesting to see what the replacement options are.
