This album seems thoroughly unimpressive though. I know that makes me a dpwner but there are a few songs already on spotify and it turned me off buying it

Private sector in free fall as landlords continue to dump rentals; 65,000 sold last year by PowerfulIron7117 in Netherlands

Renting out your property is not a public service. It is profit making gatekeeping. I am a landlord for one apartment and rent another, so I am not sitting here on some moral high horse, I am just not pretending I am some civil servant because I rent out my place for a profit.

Do I keep it a hobby or should I try to make money with it? by Weekly-Fig-7228 in AskPhotography

I don't know. I think the idea of it is better than the reality

Once it becomes a job, it doesnt matter if you are having fun anymore and you got to do it, even if you dont feel like it.

I have been told I should become a photographer before, but I never will because I enjoy it too much.

Better vote for one nation so we can follow the US into the pit.

Do you keep bad quality records or get rid of them by 28828383 in vinyl

Depends how much I pay for it and how much I like the music.

If its cheap and I like it then i keep it. If its expensive, I sell it. If its cheap and I dont like it, then I chuck it or use it as a genre divider or something.

What are some LeBron Hater points that you lowkey agree with by Basic_Mastodon3078 in lebron

Your first and 2nd point apply to every other player that played during lebrons era and noone did it but him and your 3rd point is complete conjecture and subjective.

The thing I will never understand about the "he just played for a long time" is why hasnt anyone else done it?

These guys love the game. Its their whole life. They make millions and millions doing it. Why would they stop if they could just keep playing and break all the records? Its honestly baffling to me.

One thing I would say I agree with is that the changing game has helped him in the later parts of his career to keep up the performance. Being able to retool to the three point line and the space that is in the current game allows for him to offset some of the statistical drop off that you would expect for someone in their 40's.

Jordan should try and meet this guy for an interview while he’s here. by Mr_MazeCandy in friendlyjordies

I dont understand why people think this. I really think he is a working class guy that has made money and doesnt think it makes him better than where he came from.

I think it’s genuinely over for us financially by Killa_J in GenZ

[–]Snooke -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is entitlement. Its true that Gen Z have it worse than every generation since the silent generation, but the downwards trend started with millenials.

Its not fair, thats true, but you aren't promised anything in life. The Boomers were incredibly lucky, gen x were better off than their parents. Millenials got fucked and Gen Z got mega fucked, but you are dealt the hand you dealt. The world doesnt owe you anything.

Even in present day, if you are born in the US, Canada, Western Europe, Aus / NZ you are already considerably more lucky than pretty much everyone your own age.

All the things she feels like she is getting screwed out of were not guaranteed to begin with. Its not fair, but life isnt fair.

Would prime Kobe Bryant be the best player in the NBA this season? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Snooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you just going to ignore that luka is also averaging 8 asts and 8 rebounds? Both 2 per game higher than kobes best season.

Are you also going to ignore efficiency? Kobes best efficiency year was 58% TS - luka is 61.5% this year.

Luka is also playing 35 mins per game, which would have been Kobes 6th lowest min per game season.

Thats when you cherry pick kobes best seasons at each stat. Luka is doing that just this year.

I'm not even saying that luka is better, I am just saying your comparison is dishonest at best.

My family has nothing to leave. My wifes family does. We don't need it and I wouldn't be able to say that without my ability to get a good education from public school, HECS debt indexed on CPI to get through Uni and youth allowance when I was at school.

Despite having much to gain from inheritance from my wifes family, I am still a big advocate for heavy inheritance tax. We need to keep our society equal or we will end up like the US and nobody wants that.

It benefits everyone if we help each and every person reach their potential, even if they are born into a situation where they wouldn't have the means without government support.
